Cathay Pacific Holidays

I am currently planning a packaged holiday to HK and thought, while I was going to the other side of the world, why not try to include a short trip to another Asian city, such as Bangkok or Singapore? Adding any one of these cities through US agents and/or travel websites is prohibitively expensive.

I stumbled upon CX Holidays site, and its weekend getaway deals, airfare and hotel included, seem astonishingly cheap, i.e. air to Bangkok and three nights at the Penninsula for something like 6,200 HKD! Has anyone had any experience with these CX holiday packages ? They seem too good to be true.

Many thanks for your insight.

Yup - looks like a good offer! Just had a look on the website. When do you plan to go as you've only got until 26th of August?

I booked a side trip to Penang in Feb through CX holidays and it was a fab deal, so I would fully recommend booking through them, especially as the deal is done in HKD, so when you convert it back to sterling at the current favourable rates, it works out even better.

My experience from booking on the net, having the documents DHL'ed to me in the UK and then the holiday itself was flawless. The local reps were helpful and not too pushy, the transfers turned up on time and were very flexible (our return flight was at 7am, so our rep turned up at 4:30am on the dot to pick us up from the hotel) and you can rest assured that with the backing of Cathay Pacific, everything will be A1.

The best thing about the site is that you don't have to be a CX customer flying into Hong Kong to take advantage of the holiday packages. (Although for the discounted hotel service, you do have to have flown in with CX.)

I would definitely book with them again in the future!

As far as the services provided by CX holidays is concerned, I think it's value for money. I have had a number of experiences with them, there wasn't any problem at all. You do get what you pay for, golden brand airline and top hotel. Is it very cheap???? maybe in US standard. However, I would recommend you to go for it with no hesitation.

I'm a regular customer of CX and Cathay Pacific Holidays and it's top notch.

For a side trip from HKG to BKK or SIN, it should cost around HK$3-4K with peak season surcharge during summer.
