This is our favourite local garden to visit,it is ten minutes from home, the gardens are beautiful no matter which season we are in and the cafe is excellent!

Have driven past this place many times and finally decided to go in. So glad we did - it was really enjoyable. So much to see, it's a lot bigger than it looks. Lots of beautiful old cars and other vehicles but also a lot more. Two children (five and seven) found plenty to do and we were there for about two hours! The staff (all volunteers) are brilliant and involved the kids in lots of the activities, from pressing the buttons on the model railways to wearing old firefighters' helmets and ringing the bell on the old fire engine. The kids got very absorbed in bashing away on old typewriters, of all things, and there were plenty of things for them to play with. A good day out (with lunch at Whitewebbs Carvery afterwards).

I would like to thank Laura and her team for the most magical day. You really went above and beyond to reassure me, make me feel totally relaxed and even to bringing Connor and I a drink whilst we waited for the longest confetti throw of all time just after we tied the knot.
Laura, you are a total gem and we are so grateful for everything you did during the lead up to the day and during. Shoutout to Anishah as well for all of her assistance too.

The gardens were spectacular, maintained beautifully and it was the most picturesque venue for our wedding day.

Thank you so so much <3

We walked here after our lunch at Gamberini in Oakwood,on Monday 29th April 2024.

We walk up Snakes Lane towards Cockfosters,a good way to walk off our lunch!

Trent Park is a lovely place to walk on a sunny Spring day!

We visited on a Saturday afternoon with a toddler. It was easy to find. Ample parking available. The farm is sign posted well and it is easy to find your way around. The girl at the entry point was short and curt. It would have to nice to get some information at check-in. It would also be helpful if more boxes / bags for collection are around farm to avoid having to walk back to the entry gate. No cafe or snack bar onsite.

Very much enjoyed our wintery day out at Forty Hall. The house was tastefully decorated for Christmas. It is popular so best to pre-book to avoid waiting for a slot. Once you are in, it is not at all busy and very pleasant experience. It takes about an hour to look around the house. There is a very modest charge - £2 per person.
There is a small gift shop with mainly local produce - especially liked the cards which showed the estate in snow. The house is well maintained with clear and engaging interpretation from Lottery investment. There is also a farm shop which sells food produced on the estate. Very affordable vegetables, and nice fresh herbs. And some vegetables bought in from southern England.

There are many options to explore the grounds - a walled garden and pleasure gardens around the house. Here are many fine and unusual trees, which in winter have interesting bark, as well as some winter flowers and berries. The lake in front of the house has a good range of waterbirds including shovler, tufted ducks and Egyptian geese. The parkland beyond slopes down to Turkey Brook. This is about a mile and a half route, it can be extended a bit by taking the nature trail - turn immediately left into the woodland when you enter the parkland near the farm entrance. You pass through quieter trails in hornbeam and oak woodland. The paths around the house are surfaced and well maintained, but in some parts of the woodland it is a little muddy after wet weather - walking shoes are useful here.

In winter Forty Hall can make a full day out... or it could be combined with the adjacent Whitewebbs park, or Myddleton House, Capel Manor or Cedars Park

The only disappointment is the cafe. I really wanted to like the cafe and support local businesses, but this is a big but..... We arrived at 12.40 to find they had already run out of soup. They could only offer toasted sandwiches - ham, cheese, cheese or cheese. We were also not very happy about the owners two large dogs just inside the cafe. Forty hall is very popular and should be able to support a cafe.

It was our first time attending this venue, I took my 4 children and they really enjoyed their time here. Staff members Robert and the lovely young lady that were working really made the experience what it was and they are a real credit to the store. Friendly, professional, attentive to customers & happy to answer any questions. I would definitely recommend it to anyone else looking for a fun experience and will be going again.

This is a spacious and well maintained park. Playing fields, courts, space to walk dogs, ponds to explore and a cute community cafe.

This holds many childhood memories, and some things do not change. It is a peaceful park maintained by the Lodge volunteers. The park is three parts. The first section is landscaped, the second open land and the third section with playground equipment. It is deceptively spacious.

I have adored and prayed here for over 22 years. I could live in this beautiful, welcoming and historical church. It fills me with a sense of love, strength and peace. I have been visiting St Andrew's on and off for over 30 odd years but to pray for over 22. It soothes my pain and rejoices with me, my Joys. Long may St Andrew's remain the focal point of Enfield Town and beyond. God Bless. Jayne Marsh of Enfield.
