Yes I'm a Garth fan, and yes... if he comes out with something new, I buy it. I know that Garth is somewhat famous for coming out with so many different packages over the years. BUT, this one is worth it. There is not another one like it and it is old school. I love how it sounds on a record player. Did I buy a record player just for this set? Yes. Am I upset about it? No. Totally worth the purchase.

I loved all the albums that it came with. I see a lot of people complaining its 3 copies of the same albums. I found this great, as I decided to open the original recordings of his songs rather than the remastered ones, and I can keep those in case something happens to my others. Not only that, you get the CD copies of each album along with the live concerts. I gave the CD's to a friend who loves Garth, but doesnt collect Vinyl, so it was two gifts in one! Every song sounded crisp, clean, and no warping.

I know, why buy all 3 sets if you only like one? Great question. I am sending the 3 set Legacy back. The original analog carries such a naturalness about it that it is truly a great vinyl find. However, why oh why would you ever remaster a digital set and then press it to vinyl? Aside from showing off why analog recorded vinyl is superior to digital vinyl and cd’s the remasters serve no purpose. Could it really be that big of a difference? There are no words to describe how pleasant and enthralling the original analog is verses the icy, steely and glassy remastered vinyl is. The digital remasters weren’t done by Steve Wilson or anyone that still has hearing apparently. I imagine that Garth pushed for the original analog and idiotic company heads pushed for the digital.

Already have Garth on CD. Did not have Garth on vinyl. Best and worst in the same package. Garth, if you can read this then slap the idiots who made the decision to shamelessly remaster your songs in yet another digital format and decide that the audience for Garth Brooks vinyl albums are too stupid and naive to ever notice the difference. I do have a reference turntable but even on my cheap technics the digital just sounds bad bad bad.

I must say at first I was truly impressed with the packaging, as a record collector and not necessarily a Garth Brooks fan I was blown away the effort to put together a complete package and compared to other boxset's in my collection this by far was the best bang for my buck. Unfortunately after opening the box set I was disappointed to find that the records were warped. I wish a little more effort was put in to ensure that final product was as good as the rest.
