The school environment and building could use many improvements. The building often has issues (leaks, no A/C/heating, temperature changes between rooms, etc) and this sometimes leads to distractions in class or classes being moved. The administration here is not great, however they have improved throughout my time here. The sports and extracurricular's are very well run and definitely a strong spot of this school.
Peabody Veterans Memoria High School is a very dated and run down facility. There are major issues with the heating and cooling system and the overall facilities are dated. Despite the physical conditions, the school has a very diverse populations and supports all cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds.
My experience has and is an overall good one. The academics are diverse wide variety of classes for the core curriculum with varying levels to suit each student's individual needs. The teachers are, on average, very helpful. That is not to say that I have not had some unsavory moments with the teaching methods of my teachers; however, I feel like they have prepared me enough to succeed in future academic endeavors. I have made many amazing and thoughtful connections with multiple of my teachers, they truly were and are the pillars to my education so I commend them for that. The best of my experiences may have to be in AP Economics, a class where I struggled but succeeded in at the end. My worst experiences of the school may have to be the multitude of times where classes were disrupted because of fire alarms pulled by students, however the actions of such students are in no way indicative of the school overall. I would like for the school lunch to change, more tasty please.
