The Eastern District Culture Square is a fairly new development that is basically an extension of the Aldrich Bay Promenade in Shau Kei Wan. The feature attraction is a covered stage with a contemporary exterior architecture, which is designated for performances and culture events for up to 600 spectators. There is also wooded stretch of green space with a nice pathway which links the square to the promenade. On the other side of the street, you'll also find the historic Tam Kung Temple.
You can conveniently see the Eastern District Culture Square in route to the very good Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence from the Shau Kei Wan MTR Station. You'll pass right beside it and the temple mentioned above.
