An unfortunate consequence of the Covid pandemic is that it minimized
the 50th anniverary of 1970. Here's a few albums that were released that year:

The Who - Live at Leeds
    Deep Purple - In Rock
    The Doors - Morrison Hotel
    Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
    Jethro Tull - Benefit
Rolling Stones - Get Your Ya Yas Out
    James Gang - Rides Again
    Creedence - Cosmos Factory
    J. Geils - self-titled
    Traffic - John Barleycorn
    Johnny Winter - And
    Joe Cocker - Mad Dogs
    Santana - Abraxas
    The Stooges - Fun House
    Velvet Underground - Loaded
Spirit - 12 Dreams of Dr Sardonicus
Delaney and Bonnie - On Tour
    Van Morrison - Moondance
    Led Zeppelin - III
    Rod Stewart - Gasoline Alley
    MC5 - Back In USA
    Free - Fire and Water
Swamp Dogg - Total Destruction of Mind

plus it was a banner year for some great singles!!

There's great music recorded and/or released every year. In 1970 Miles Davis's Bitches Brew was released. Lee Morgan's Live at the Lighthouse was recorded. Benny Maupin plays on both, good year for him.

    kevin5brown Analog or bust.

My favorite time period for music is about 1967 to 1972. So much magical stuff released (or recorded) in that time frame. Push comes to shove, for a decade, I'd go 1966 to 1976.

I bet several forum members are already collecting money to pay for the hit squad that will exterminate the OP for not mentioning Let It Be in the best albums of 1970.
