Judith (b. 925; d. June 29 soon after 985), was Duchess of Bavaria. She was the eldest daughter of Arnulf the Bad of Bavaria and Judith of Friuli.

She was the wife of Henry I of Bavaria, and through this marriage the Duchy of Bavaria entered the growing Kingdom of Germany. Their son was Henry the Wrangler for whom she acted as regent after Henry's death in 955. She has made a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and afterwards retired to the Niedermünster in Regensburg, where she was also buried.

Under Duke Heinrich l and his wife Judith, the Niedermünsterkirche was renewed completely for unknown reasons. The construction must have progressed far enough that upon Henry's death in 955 he was buried there. Judith was buried beside him beneath the high alter after her death.

This development started certainly with the church new building around 950 and must have been concluded at the latest, 973 with Judith's entry into the abby Judith served as the Abbess (Mother Superior) of the abby between 974 and her death.

Judith (* 925; † 29. Juni bald nach 985), war Herzogin von Bayern und eine der bedeutendsten Frauengestalten der politischen Geschichte Bayerns im Mittelalter.

Judith war älteste Tochter des Herzogs Arnulf des Bösen von Bayern und dessen Frau Judith von Friaul. Sie war Gemahlin des Herzogs Heinrich I. von Bayern († 955). Durch diese Ehe wurde die Zugehörigkeit des Herzogtums Bayern zum entstehenden deutschen Reich befördert.

Judith war Mutter nicht nur von Heinrich dem Zänker, für den sie ab 955 für ein Jahrzehnt die Vormundschaft führte, sondern auch von Hadwig, die bereits mit 15 Jahren Herzogin von Schwaben wurde, und von Gerberga, die Äbtissin im Stift Gandersheim wurde.

Nach einer Pilgerreise ins Heilige Land lebte sie ab 974 im Kloster Niedermünster in Regensburg. Dort wurde sie auch, wie bereits ihr Ehemann, begraben.
