Focus Features Acquires Thriller Last Breath, Starring Woody Harrelson, Finn Cole, and Simu Liu

Focus Features will distribute director Alex Parkinson's upcoming thriller based on a true story, Last Breath.
Starring Woody Harrelson, Finn Cole, and Simu Liu, the film is based on a 2019 documentary by the same name, which was co-directed by Parkinson and Richard da Costa. It follows a deep-sea diver's final rescue mission.
Mitchell LaFortune, Parkinson, and David Brooks wrote the script, which was developed by Paul and David Brooks of Longshot Films and Dark Castle Entertainment with co-financing from Aperture. Additionally, the film is produced by Stewart Le Maréchal, Al Morrow, Anna Mohr-Pietsch, Jeremy Plager, Hal Sadoff, Norman Golightly, and David and Paul Brooks. Focus Features previously collaborated with Paul Brooks on My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 and Champions.
Focus Features acquired U.S. and select international rights, with Universal Pictures International handling other select territories.
