William James Gavin

William James Gavin, 66, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021. He was born November 7, 1954 in Marietta, Ohio to the late Willard and Norma Jean (Silvis) Gavin. He was a diesel mechanic for over 40 years in central Ohio. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, watching NASCAR and Browns football, and drinking his Cuervo. Bill also enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandkids, and watching western movies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, David Gavin; brother, Brad Gavin; and beloved dog, Midnight "Pooper". Bill is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Kim Gavin; children, Michael (Jennifer) Gavin, Danielle (Wesley) Flyer, Justin Busby, Shatonia (fiancée, Chuck McNabb) Busby, and LaTasha Brigner; grandsons, Mason Gavin and Stanley Flyer; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Ava Raye; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY, 3920 Broadway, Grove City.
