A former Duranie is finally happy. I remember trying to tape all these old videos from MTV back in my Simon days. Of course, that was near-impossible because you never knew when they were going to come on. Well, I've outgrown the crush, but not the love of the music. Just watching these brings back all those old high school days; I can always picture the reactions of my like-minded Duranie friends during specific points in each video. If you're a former addict like me, you won't regret getting these. My only complaint is the explicit nature of some of the videos. Hey, I'm a Mom now and fast-forwarding through Girls on Film is a necessity. Otherwise, enjoy!

I am a BIG Duran Duran fan and there are two of their songs on my all-time favorites list. Having been a teen in the 80's how could you not be a DD fan? 'Is There Something I Should Know?' is on my faves list and I just heard 'Girls On Film' on a Chrismas-time TV commercial. Duran Duran and all of their various incarnations of the group/combinations of members has not disappointed me at all. This is a 'must buy' for any DD fan, for sure.

I was a Duranie as a teenager in the 80s and have followed the band since then. Frankly, I am blown away by the criticism posted by others here. Unless you're a die-hard fan, you're not going to shy away from this collection because it doesn't include some lesser-known videos/songs. Most people buying this want to have the favorites they remember from junior high years, I think.
It had to be a very difficult task narrowing down Duran Duran's videos into one collection. However, I think they did a great job selecting the most popular videos and many that haven't seen airtime in decades (When was the last time Union of the Snake was on any of the MTV/VH1 channels?).

Overall this is a pretty good collection of videos, but this collection does have its problems.

The navigation around the DVD is terrible and complicated. One has to search for the hidden videos and interviews. It took me awhile to figure out how to access the 17 minute video of 'New Moon on Monday'. To get to this video: go to 'S' of GREATEST on disc 1, click on 'New Moon on Monday' and watch or advance through the video, do this three more times and the fourth time you will have the 17 minute video.

Also, they had room to fit some lesser hits on this collection. 'Meet El Presidente', 'Do You Believe in Shame', 'Violence of Summer', 'Too Much Information', and the live version of 'Save a Prayer'(peaked at 16 in 1985) could have been included on this collection. Instead they have four versions of the video 'New Moon on Monday'. All of this could have also fit on one disc.

Another compliant is that the main video for 'The Wild Boys' is fuzzy and blurry with washed out color, but the interview for this video shows clips of the video which are crisp and clear. I can't figure that out.

There is no artwork on the DVD cover and the list of songs is printed in a way where one can barely read it.

Watching many of the videos takes me back to 1980s. Some videos are good and others are just plain bad. The videos for 'Hungry Like the Wolf', 'The Reflex', and 'New Moon on Monday' are classics, but the 'Rio' video is a bad 1980s video at its worse and the same for 'Union of the Snake'.

I bought this collection for $13.00 and it was worth it, even with the annoying issues.
