Our GCSE pupils have been working extremely hard to devise performances for their Component 1 exam.
They had to select one stimulus from a list to use as a springboard in order to write, direct, design and perform a play. The plays included an exploration into human slavery, having been heavily influenced by ‘The Meaning of Zong’ by Giles Terera; a dynamic physical theatre piece about a man living life in a society that doesn't accept him; and an Epic Theatre play about British victims of 9/11.
All groups created thought-provoking pieces that captured their unbounded imagination and their unique views of complex issues.
