If I could rate this place a 0 then I would. We came here to celebrate my grandmother’s 70th birthday and it was a disaster. We had a party of 9 people and the service and food were terrible. We spent over $1000 and were barely checked on and all the food came out cold. We visit fine dining often and this was by far the worse experience we ever had. Then we asked for management before leaving to let her know how to improve service moving forward and all she had to say was ohh I’m sorry you experienced that. 0/10 would not recommend

It took a very long time to get our drinks. The server explained there was a large party of 30 people that had the bar backed up. Our appetizers arrived before our cocktails. Food was just fair...I would not return.

Incredibly disappointing and frustrating. Upon arrival, our waiter told us the kitchen was busy and it might be awhile after our food was prepared. Ok…you know how busy it’s going to be with it being Ohio State graduation weekend and the amount of reservations you have. Why not staff appropriately? Anyway, we would have been ok with this. And yes our food took awhile, but then 3 steaks were severely undercooked and the 4th one was not the correct order. The manager came over to apologize and would “prioritize” our order. This did not happen because it was another 45 minutes until we got our food. The waiter offered us a free dessert to make things right. No, we’ve been here for 2.5 hours and need to leave at this point. So our bill arrives without any compensation which was ridiculous. If you have the word “steakhouse” in your name and you can’t cook steaks correctly plus the service is bad, there should be something done for the customer. My husband asked for the billed to be reduced and only a baked potato and the crab cake appetizer was comped. The only 2 things that were right the first time around and hardly made a dent in our bill. Plus we ordered another round of drinks while we were waiting for the steaks to be remade. It was insulting. There are so many good restaurants in Columbus and the short north. There is no need or reason to go to this one. On top of all of this, our dinner was to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. Mitchell’s completely ruined the night.

I had the prime new york strip, which didn’t taste like prime and was dry and over-cooked (closer to done than medium rare.)

A party of 12, service was excellent! Appetizers delicious, steaks and salmon had by many- everyone enjoyed. Sides are sharing size, highly recommend the lobster mac!

From the greeting of the hostess, to the friendly and professional attentive service of the serving staff, our dinning experience at Mitchell's gives us an uplifting and gratifying feeling and the perfect way to begin all of your evenings entertainment events. I have been dinning at Mitchell's Downtown Steakhouse for years and I am always amazed and satisfied with my dinning experience.

We were there to celebrate two birthdays. The food and service were so top notch, even with personalized menus. Nice touch. We all had a great time.
