Mass Times, Adoration & Devotions

  • The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the Source and Summit of our parish life. It is the dynamo that powers our mission. In the Mass, Jesus Himself in His perfect thanksgiving to the Father, is made present. Without the Eucharist, we are nothing. Come and join all the angels and saints to worship God in the Holy Mass.

  • Seasonal Devotions

In the Advent and Lenten Seasons we focus more on penance. There are added opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Every year on the Feast of Epiphany (near January 6) we encourage people to pray the Epiphany house blessing as a family to renew God's blessing for the coming year.  Tradionally chalk is used to mark the doors of the house in this blessing, so sfter the Masses we will provide and bless chalk for people to take home with them.

Lenten Stations of the Cross are a powerful devotion and a time to follow the Lord more deeply in His Holy Passion. We celebrate this on the Thursdays of Lent at 7:00 p.m.

May Crowning is a beautiful way to honor our Blessed Mother. Each year we open the month of May with the crowning of our Mary statue. We continue to offer special prayers throughout the month.

To foster Marian devotion in other parts of the year we sing the traditional Marian antiphons after all Masses thoruhgout Advent, Lent, and Easter.

  • Patronal Feast, Eucharistic Devotions, and Processions

Our Patronal Feast is the Conversion of St. Paul on January 25. As a parish we celebrate this solemnity on the nearest Sunday to January 25 every year.

Our diocesan assigned week for Eucharistic Devotions is the third week of Ordinary Time, which, by happy Providence, always falls just before or after January 25. So we celebrate our patronal feast with special liturgies, extended times of adoration, and Benedictions. Depending on the weather we strive to have a procession at this time as well.

The Feast of the Presentation of the Lord (traditionally known as Candlemas) is February 2 every year. It is a time we bless the candles to be used in the parish and any candles families would like blessed. This is especially imporant to our parish since it was the blinding Light of Christ that converted Saul to become a disciple of Jesus. We celebrate this day with a short procession with candles.

Every year for Corpus Christi we also have a procession. It usually follows the 10:30 a.m. Mass on the Sunday of Corpus Christi.
