Cut to the chase,Blackfoot without Ricky Medlocke is a hard sell.On this release Jay Johnson ,Bobby Barth and Charlie Hargrett do a great job trying to fill that huge hole in the bands sound. They succeed, just,it would be a lie if you pretend he's not missed.
Sound quality is ok,its a glorious racket and the set list definitely throws a couple of curve balls, including 'Rail Road Man' from the debut disc NO RESERVATIONS and no less than 6 tracks from 1979's STRIKES album. Throw in a fantastic Bobby Barth track 'Sunshine Again' and the obligatory 'Highway Song' and 'Good Morning, its a guitar fest and thoroughly entertaing it is. The DVD is well shot and worth watching, the packaging crap thick box with a spindle to hold both discs, one on top of the other!!! and no booklet. Still its the music that counts, dont pay big bucks but if available at a decent price, worth buying
