  Josh Hopkins plays an ad man in Philadelphia.....when we first meet him...he has lost his girlfriend...hates his job....and his dad dies.
  So he leaves the big city and heads to the small town of Lebanon, PA to bury his dad. In Lebanon he befriends a pregnant teen(Rachel Kitson), a unhappily married teacher(Samantha Mathis), and a father(Ian Merrill Peakes) raising two teenagers.

  A pretty standard movie with storylines that have been used many many times. What makes this movie better are the outstanding performances throughout the movie. Kudos to Kitson and Peakes...a quick look on IMDB shows they have not made anything since this movie...that seems a shame. As for the lead actor(Hopkins)...he is good as well...but I kept looking at…

  It could be that I have watched too many over hyped films lately that I found “Lebanon, PA” to be a much needed breath of fresh cinematic air.  Without spectacle director Ben Hickernell has fashioned a film about real lives and the way real people live them.  Josh Hopkins plays Will, a 35 year old ad man from Philly who returns to small town life in Lebanon, Pa. when his father dies.  It is here that he encounters his cousin in her senior year of high school who reveals she is pregnant with doubts about what to do.  Rural values being what they are, this sets in motion the main thrust of the story however there are numerous characters entangled…
