Our regular spot for excellent Italian

Excellent food. Enjoy the outdoor area in summer and indoors the rest of the year. I’ve tried maybe half the menu and it’s all great. The servings are huge, always have leftovers. They’ve adjusted the menu a bit to include some favorite specials. Staff always attentive. This is our go to family restaurant. Make reservations if busy holiday or weekend.

All the food is interesting and tasty

The dinner was excellent in entirety. We had the beet salad, crab cake (very unusual tasty sauce), pulpo e patate ( octopus and potatoes), pasta with short ribs. All are high recommended. Service was spot-on including our waiter Fernando. Don't miss this restaurant!

Rehearsal dinner

Rehearsal dinner was here. Food and service was excellent. What more can you want. We had the private room . Definitely think the servers did an amazing job .

Rehearsal Dinner

We held our son and daughter in-law's rehearsal dinner here. We had 56 guests in the private dining room, and it could not have been better. I planned this event from afar and Alyssa was instrumental in helping me plan the event. The service was superior, and the food was fantastic! All of our guests enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend Ottimo for a private party!

Wow...what a surprise

We had not been here in about 4 years and we never came back as it was just "ok". But we returned last week with friends and it was fantastic. I had the risotto with shrimp and bacon which was the best I have had out. The drinks were good, not the best. Bread and the special butter were a nice touch. But the food was excellent. We will be returning again.

Sister's choice

My sister lives in Palos Heights, worked in Orland Park until her recent retirement but still keeps busy by buying and selling antiques throughout the southwest suburbs. So she rarely has time to eat at home. Instead, she keeps a list of the best places to eat, from fast-food to fine dining, from pizza to steaks, from pasta to seafood. We finally got together at Osteria Ottimo in Orland Park, a family-friendly Italian trattoria that opened in 2017. It was the first time for all of us. Located at 16111 South La Grange Road, at 159th and La Grange Road, south of the intersection of Route 6 and Route 4, near the Orland Towne Center, it is open from 4 to 8 Sunday and Monday, 4 to 8:30 Tuesday and Wednesday, noon to 8:30 on Thursday, noon to 9:30 on Friday and 4 to 9:30 on Saturday. As we often do, we agreed to sample something of everything. We started with bruschetta with tomato, basil and fresh mozzarella, a giant meatball topped with fontina cheese, tomato sauce and basil and Caesar salad with romaine, anchovy, radish, parmesan and croutons. For an entree, my wife chose Lake Superior whitefish with artichokes, mushrooms, asparagus, capers, brown butter and lemon. My sister opted for cedar planked loch salmon with lentils, pancetta, spinach and white wine sauce. I couldn't resist an old favorite, spaghetti and meatballs with tomato sauce and parmesan. For dessert, we shared portions of tiramisu with chocolate sauce, warm apple tart with caramel sauce and vanilla gelato and flourless chocolate mousse cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry puree. Afterward, when scanning Osteria Ottimo's website, I wasn't surprised to see that all of the reviews were very positive. A wonderful dining experience.

Amazingly good all around

I heard some good things about Ottimo from friends. Was in the area and boy was I glad we had dinner here. I had the filet special and my wife had the walleye. Grilled calamari for appetizer. Delicious. Main courses done to perfection. Dessert, creme brûlée and the cheesecake. Service was excellent. Full to covid restrictions great to be with HAPPY people. Highly recommended! U will not be disappointed.

Weeknight Dinner

As usual, the service was excellent! We ate outside on the tented patio which was very comfortable even though it was super windy outside. The food was so delicious. The scallops were outstanding. The braciole was amazing. We've always had the best experience and highly recommended the restaurant. They also did an extra cleaning of the table before we sat down.

Delightful Italian

We met some friends here and it was fantastic We ve been here several times before for dinner and a cpl times just for drinks but I can't remember if I reviewed it They are set up outside because of the virus with tables and a cpl tents It was a great night with great people Food was over the top Porkchop/scallops/grouper/meatball Portions are huge Great service staff and owners Try it you'llove it

Best Italian in the area!

Been here several times and have never been disappointed. Often we have had a large group of 8-10 people and they have always accommodated us. Also great for a date night! The food is outstanding. Seafood Linguini, Lasagna(Thursday only), Sausage and Peppers, calamari, Chicken Vesuvio...all excellent. Fresh made pasta and fresh seafood. Prices are a little above average but well worth it. With so many chain restaurants in the area this place stands out above the rest!
