Well I walked into the pawn shop and they had same thing. Except it had one mag nothing else. New unfired looking G17.4. $399. Really straight shooter. Didn’t need another one but it’s mine now.

I keep my box, manual and mags so when I sell a gun I can put it together in a - same as when it was new - display.

I think it makes a difference in how much I get - even if gun has obviously been shot. I also think it makes it easier to sell.

I don't see how you end up with a never fired Glock without any mags. But then maybe the owner lost the mags so he couldn't shoot it!

I think most of the time people just hang on to the mags for other guns they have or they sell them off separately, as a lot of folks that buy used guns don’t account for the cost of the missing mags.

The gun shop which I stop at about every week always gets stuff in it came from a Estate sale and I`am thinking maybe some one passed away maybe and the mags just were ove rlooked , but I have many old and new Glk mags even picked upp more new ones Wen at Dunhams for 19.99 , , this was I just showed up thing shop said the price I always tell them give me a early Xmas present , they did , no wear any ware I even looked at the grip diamond's not one was messed up . looked unfired , just a Glock I know , The only thing I did was change to a Fact Glk DOT connector and changed to the newest Ejector that Glock has , I may go with Fact Glock night sights but man it shoots so good .

I see this as proof that if one has a collection or a set of tools that their spouse does not have an interest in, it is important to document the items and what goes with them. The executor of the estate dumped these items on an FFL because they didn't know better for pennies on the dollar. A real loss to the family.

Good deal for the OP, but just thinking about the overall situation more deeply is sad.

This is one of the reasons I was motivated to downsize my collection when I took an early retirement. I don’t have kids or other family to leave my guns, so they’d eventually be sold when I’m gone. To the folks I‘m leaving something in my will, any money for the guns would be acceptable because the guns hold no value to them, while cash in hand does. Even when a person knows the value, it’s not uncommon for people inheriting something to just want the cash as quickly as possible, since it’s all free to them. My primary focus was liquidating many of my higher-end 1911s where I had a lot of money tied up. I still own a fair number of guns, but most will be easy enough to sell at a reasonable price. Of course, I have every gun I purchased along with the price documented, as well as everything that originally shipped with the guns.
