The Ritz-Carlton, Naples, while celebrated for its elegant and stylish atmosphere following recent renovations, receives mixed feedback from guests. A number of travelers have expressed disappointment with the value, feeling that the high rates do not match their experience with service and facilities. While the hotel's location and cleanliness are often commended, experiences with amenities and room conditions appear to vary, with some guests facing issues such as unavailable pools and inconsistent room upkeep. Despite this, many guests speak highly of the attentive staff and the impressive views from the rooms.

I usually consider stays at Ritz Carlton properties to be expensive for what you get, limited to no Bonvoy elite recognition and non personalized service. Therefore I tend towards the St Regis or Luxury Collection properties instead. As that wasn’t an option for my Naples trip I ended up at both of the Ritz Carlton properties.

Here, I was pleasantly surprised. For my ambassador status I received a lovely semi ocean view suite. I had seen reviews critical of the state of the rooms but I didn’t have a problem with mine. Decor was fresh and not in need of maintenance. The sofa had some stains but good grief you can’t expect new furniture every time you stay in a hotel. During the day there was repeated banging against the wall of the bed in my suite to the point that the wall shock each time and this occurred every couple of minutes for hours on end while I was trying to read. As it could have been other guests and didn’t disrupt my sleep it wasn’t a big deal but wasn’t awesome either.

They’ve moved to the Marriott commitment of large bottles of bathroom toiletries. They didn’t seem to be tamper proof.

Beachfront bar and restaurant was good. April took care of me and nothing was a problem. Food came out promptly. Not the best ceviche I’ve had but passable and my drink was delicious.

Spa was amongst the best I’ve been to in the US, Ritz Carlton or otherwise, and I go to spas a lot. Sarah at the front desk was very gracious and I appreciated her customer-centric service. The facilities at the spa are very nice. It’s quite busy but not awfully so like the spas in Vegas. My mindful massage was excellent and classic manicure, done by Sara, was above expectations and very swift. While I would say pricing is fairly hefty - 80 minute massage was $270 and classic mani, a 25 minute service $55, I did not feel ripped off in light of services and amenities provided.

Breakfast has some room for improvement. For the variety I don’t think it’s reasonable to charge more than $30 for that buffet. My server was polite but not very attentive and I had to call on her when I needed things like drink top up though I noticed that was just with me and she seemed fine to proactively clear the plates and shoot the breeze with other guests at tables near me.

Questions were answered on the chat very promptly and when I called guest services they were super helpful. These smooth liaison touch points were noticeable and I appreciated the no hassle assistance.

Leave some time to call for an uber when departing - there is not a lot of availability at certain times of the day and you may have to wait several minutes rather than just a few.

I have not stayed at this property in the past and we were there with COVID rules. The property itself is beautiful and has a great location.
The best service came from the Valets otherwise it was the same caliber service you would get at any other hotel . We understand that they may be a little short staffed so having to wait longer for service and some compromises are expected. Come the weekend when the hotel was busier the experience changed for the better so I doubt the shortcomings were due to COVID
We were not greeted with champagne, no evening turndown service for all the nights we stayed for all 3 of our rooms.
Monday to Thursday you would have thought the hotel was closed.
The lobby restaurant was closed and no entertainment or music anywhere . We had a cocktail in Dusk at 1030 one night at a cost of $140 and 15 minutes later told that they were closed and we could take our drinks out to the lobby, we were watching a football game with 6 minutes left in the game so we asked if there was another TV we could view, we were told yes in your room !
None of the stores were open until Friday except the cafe which only had one server in the morning for a line of guests The only place I heard “it’s my pleasure” was In Terrazzo by a few of the staff All the food and drinks were way overpriced but they were of good quality and taste.
The rooms were comfortable and clean but nothing special with very small balconies, bathroom was good size but had tubs no walk in shower. The pools were just ordinary and often in need of cleaning, what shines here is the beach and spa
We had a great time but honestly we have had the same if not better experience at other Naples properties I would return if the rate was reasonable, mostly for the fact that the beach access was great which is hard to find in Naples.
My impression is that this property is relying on its location and not on what you should expect of a Ritz-Carlton You can find nicer rooms, pool, food ...all for a lot less money but you stay at the “Ritz” for their signature experience sadly not at this property

This was our fifth stay over a ten year period and like past visits we enjoyed our stay but each time we visit our impressions change a bit. We still enjoy the overall elegant feel of the hotel even as many areas have been renovated with a more modern touch including the spacious guest rooms. The white sandy stretch of beach the hotel overlooks is wide and the sunsets always seem to be especially beautiful here. The hotel also has a lot to offer with multiple dining choices and an array of good onsite leisure options. But during this stay a few minor things got our attention especially at this high price point.

We had breakfast each day at Terrazza which has a charming more casual décor. Breakfast is buffet style with a good selection of options but all the hot items were never that hot. The gym is large with enough equipment to get a full workout in a room with windows on two sides, but it also is frequented by local residents that like to use personal trainers which adds people and noise to the experience. I have noticed this before but this visit it was more obvious. The family pool is lovely, but the music is a little too loud. And after all these visits it finally occurred to us that very few public spaces at the hotel have ocean views. Neither of the two pools, the lobby, and all but one restaurant. That exception is Gumbo Limbo which is set up as a beach front open air restaurant and bar that truly does take full advantage of the views.

Still the beautiful location and abundance of amenities provide guests great choices to craft their own relaxing experience including an easy visit to the Ritz golf resort if you want to mix it up. While charming downtown Naples is at least a fifteen minute drive away, the Mercato dining and shopping district is just minutes away. Parking was $33 and the resort fee was $35.

Our second stay here and as titanium elite members were upgraded to a wonderful gulffront room for our two week visit. We booked here after having a Caribbean trip delayed and were very pleased with the weather, water, sand and resort.
Given the times we live in we were especially pleased with the attention to masks, distancing, sanitizing etc. Only a few guests did not cooperate.
We have nothing but kind thoughts for the entire staff but must make special mention of both the Terrazza breakfast team and the valets. The breakfast staff was so friendly and the chef prepared watermelon every day for my wife. Wonderful.
The valets promptly retrieved our rental, supplied waters, recommended dining and helped with the bikes. (Given the $33/day valet charge I "declined" to tip daily since this was more than enough. Hopefully they are well taken care of thru that.)
Both the pool and beach staff also took great care of us. Hopefully on our next visit the pool jacuzzi will work and maybe the beach chairs will be upgraded.
Highly recommend.

After a very disappointing check in at the Naples Grande Beach resort. I was mulling over my next move during an average meal at the Turtle Creek restaurant watching the sunset around a bunch of rowdy loud people crammed on the beach.
When I checked my phone to see how far away the facilities of the Naples Ritz Carlton were from our current location. To see if I had to call an Uber to escape our current situation. And to secure an acceptable place to watch the LSU, Clemson football game. I found that the Ritz was only a block from our current location and decided to walk up the lightless street to see if we could find a suitable location to watch the championship game.
As we walked up the long driveway to the massive entrance I swear we saw about 8 doorman and with no reservation they opened the large doors and welcomed us like we owned the place! The lobby was full of classical music and everyone was happy and eating dinner. I looked at the Mrs. and said we are changing hotels immediately.
We asked the consigner where was a good place to eat and watch the game she directed us to Dusk. After getting the perfect spot to watch the game, we ordered two drinks and I explained to the server that I was a Lifetime Ritz Carlton club member and would like the money we spent at Dusk to be applied to my account. She said I have to check with the manager on that and I said ok.
Well the manager Jennifer Piccone came back and made our vacation in Naples one of the best. She was friendly, professional warm and caring once I told her about my unpleasant situation at the Naples Grande Resort. She walked us to the front desk where we talked to Philip S. who booked us immediately in an upgraded Beach front King room with a balcony at a great rate, which made us very happy. The Ritz Carlton Naples is a great resort with a great staff from Miranda, Brandon and everyone else at gumbo limbo Bar on the Beach and the restaurant. Miranda makes a mean daiquiri and margarita and her service is great. We made some friends along with other guests and felt at home our entire visit. Our entire stay was fantastic and well worth the cost. As the service at all levels was great and have guaranteed a return trip on our part. I highly recommend this hotel. The Ritz has put a lot of money into this property and it shows from the restaurants to the gym to the 7 restaurants on the grounds which is like a tropical paradise…..everything is beautiful here. The beauty will feed your soul ion a good way. My hat is off to The Ritz Carlton, Naples and this is after a 4 day stay at the Flagler Club at the Breakers the bar was set very high.

We just had a wonderful stay at this special hotel last weekend. I have to honest in that I was just a bit concerned since I saw several not so great reviews soon before our trip. My travel agent has always said not to pay too much attention to the trip advisor reviews so I took that into account never mind that most of those reviews were over Christmas and New Years. They might have been overwhelmed with the large crowds. I also had to grade on a curve since this place is so expensive. I heard some great things about this hotel and all of it was true. It is a fantastic looking place and everything was just right. Room was gorgeous although not huge. We paid for an ocean view room and we had a great view of both pools and a partial view of the ocean so it was fine. TV was also nice as it had both netflix and HBO GO which was not typical. Kind of fun watching a few Soprano's episodes one night. We had the breakfast buffet each morning while it wasn't great, it was certainly good enough. Pools were nice and we hung out at the quiet adult pool. I like that the water temperature was heated, not what I call fake heated where it is not cold but not warm enough. I also liked that it wasn't crowded and it wasn't one of these places where you had to get to the pool at 7 or 8 to get a spot and where all these people would leave towels to reserve spots and then not come back until after lunch. The beach was nice. I thought it was cute that they had a vending machine in the lobby with small champagne bottles. Only small blemish and not really their fault was that we wanted to eat at the Grill restaurant and even though I called 10 days in advance, they were booked completely for one night and the other they only had for 8:45 or 6:00. If you want to eat at this restaurant, you better call up at least a month in advance unless you go during off season. Highly recommended as long as you can deal with the high price of the rooms.

This is my 3rd stay at this magnificent hotel and I always leave feeling pampered. This visit was in their soft opening during Covid19 . While only having half staff you would not know it based on the service . Our room 620 was as always breathtaking and has the most amazing view of the gulf ocean and their spectacular sunset. What sets the RC apart is their commitment to excellence when it comes to Customer Service . Our check in was a breeze . Every person was kind , happy and determined to make your stay perfect . My husband plays golf at Tiburon which is 5 min down the road and I love the beach , pool and their 5 star spa. I want to give a special round of applause to Leslie at the pool cafe . She is one of the rare gems any employer is lucky to have . She’s a standout because of her positive attitude and happy disposition . From the moment she introduced herself I knew I would be in good hands . She checked on me frequently and was thoughtful with recommendations . She made both my days very relaxing and I truly felt special . In these stressful times it was nice to see while there are clearly changes with social distancing , wearing masks , washing hands they made it look effortless . We can’t wait to return .

stayed at the ritz on a business trip with my husband. greeted right away friendly staff. was given good champagne as we checked in very nice. our room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. the bed was super comfy. great ocean view from our room. we ate at terrazza each morning and had dinner there one night. had drinks at dusk. food drinks and service were great. the buffet is really a great deal for the options. the pool is heated outside which is nice when we were lucky enough to be there at a 9 year record low temps! they also provide sunscreen of multiple spf so if you forgot yours don’t spend 19.00 in the boutique!! it’s located by the towels in several places. they also gave us hand warmers lol. andre poolside was great. very attentive. the beach access is a little long but comfortable walkway and the beach itself has baby powder white sand and is close. just lovely. they were doing glass blowing poolside which was neat. had a great visit.

One needs to sort out the good from the bad....For starters the staff was wonderful, and attentive, especially in the restaurants; but the management is something else.

I am a Titanium Elite Bonvoy member and have been so from the beginning and I have been in First Class Hotels all over the world. We booked a six day stay to celebrate my 80th Birthday and had family join us who live in Florida. The Management seemed to forget that the hotel and its amenities exist for the benefit of the guests who book rooms and want a first class experience. It was all lost on management who catered to locals by closing the lobby bar so that kids could enjoy "High Tea" and it continued past dinner.

On my birthday we had dinner in the Grill Room and the service and the food was excellent, but after dinner the lobby bar area called "Bites" was over run with locals and their children so there was no place in the hotel to just go and hang out and have a drink and enjoy oneself.......back to the room at 9PM.

The rooms were nothing more than basic spaces not even of the quality of a Courtyard or a Residence Inn. Nothing special and dated at best. For +$900/night when you add in the taxes and resort fees the sensation of being ripped off is searing.

Folks booking extended stays in the period before Christmas should have been told that the amenities in the hotel were going to be limited.

Shame on Marriott for running such a pooly managed and concieved property.

It was the Pitz!

I went to the ritz for Thankgiving dinner at one of their restaurants (terraza) and rented a car for the day since i was coming from Ft Lauderdale. The rental was spic and span inside when i left it with the valet parking (required, there is no self parking. typically cost i think $25-33/day but if you are there for dinner, its free, excluding gratuity. At least it was for Thanksgiving day). However when i picked up the car and was about 5min away, stopping at a gas station, is when i noticed all these white chalky scuff marks in the backseat area and embedded sticky brown stuff and sticky console that wasn't there before. Was pissed cuz its on black seating and stood out in the light and i didn't want to be charged cleaning fees. Not sure if valet decided to take the car out for some joy ride or run errands or eat in the car but clearly valet used it beyond just parking the car. it's also nothin special so not sure why they would use it..or could be because they know its ordinary car rental, they figure can get away with it. anyways, kinda ruined the rest of my drive back after thanksgiving dinner.

Separately, the hotel could do better with enforcing/reminding guests to wear masks inside the hotel. i noticed quite a few times guest just walking around inside with no masks on and hotel employees didn't say anything.
