The Old Curiosity Shop BBC DVD
The Old Curiosity Shop was the fourth novel of Charles Dickens. The novel was published in instalments in the periodical “Master Humphrey’s Clock”. The first instalment was printed in April of 1840 and the last was printed in February of 1841. And I really can't remember it being that good...

Avoid this one
It seems more a 1970s production than a product of the new millenium. I personally find it tiresomely slow and dull and I doubt I'll ever see it through even as far as disc 2. I think you'd have to be a student of Dickens or of the theatre or the like to be able/willing to persevere with this particular version. Sorry! ....and I normally like costume dramas from the BBC.
