I chose this course because it was of my interest and it is a really Emerging field all over the world. The faculty of Jai Hind College for psychology is excellent and very experienced. There are two teachers who take the classes. The strength is about 150 students. The HOD was the Ex vice principal of the Humanities stream. The exams are divided into 40 and 60 marks, where the 40 is divided into 20-20, 20 for Assignments and project the other 20 for an online MCQ test. There are two semesters each with a 60-mark written offline paper.
Psychology is a passion. That is why I couldn't choose any other subject else than psychology. The student ratio in psychology is 120 and only 30 students with the highest percentage in the first two years get selected for the majors in the third year. The term exams happened in three gaps of 2 months, there are CA1, CA2, and then semester-end examinations. It was difficult only when you didn't attend the classes, otherwise, everyone did well.
The faculty is good. The syllabus is fine not updated as DU but it's good. The psychology department is good. They take us on field trips and various kinds of interesting projects for our exposure. They let us do our things on our own. They help us when required.
The course is a bit confusing as I have offered three subjects in my first year and will get to take or carry forward any 2 in my second year and in the third year I will have an option to major in any one or do part majors in any 2 subjects.
