When Philippe de Savoie II was born on 5 February 1443, in Savoie, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France, his father, Louis I De Savoie, was 29 and his mother, Principessa Anna di Lusignano-Châtillon di Cipro, was 23. He married Marguerite de Bourbon on 6 April 1472, in Moulins, Allier, Auvergne, France. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. He died on 7 November 1497, in his hometown, at the age of 54, and was buried in Chambrey, Moselle, France.
