It’s right off I-40 and they have limited parking nearby. They sell spray paint if you want to paint the cars, which most people do. - Ray10 contributionsA hidden gem, literally!! A little tough to find off an access road with little signage, but WELL worth the hunt. Incredible collection of RVs, most in outstanding condition for their age. The best part is that you are encouraged to go in and look around inside them. They are not just shells either. the staff's attention to detail is fantastic. Make sure you look at everything, inside and out. Tons of artifacts arranged around the RVs give a window to the past. - Katie HJohnson, KS5 contributionsThis is a hidden gem in Amarillo. Even on a drizzly fall morning, we enjoyed the gardens and greenhouse. A beautiful Oriental garden with multiple levels and a koi pond was wonderful. We also enjoyed poking around the remnants of the vegetable garden and walking through the squash tunnel. There is a butterfy garden, Palo Duro canyon plantings, herbs and sensory, and so many more wonderful areas around each corner. I can't wait to visit in the spring and summer. The botanical garden is set in a whole beautiful green space area including a stream with ducks, gorgeous trees and plantings, picnic tables, and play areas. These are free, while the gardens are a mere $5. - Chris C.51 contributionsIt was quite an experience you can’t find anywhere else. The tourist was very passionate and friendly. Came with complimentary snacks, pins, and stickers too. It’s free admission but donation would be appreciated. You may spend 1~2 hours there. All of the animals appear to be well taken care of, and they have keeper talks to help you learn more about the animals. I think it was around $4.50 for admission, and they have a small gift shop. If near or visiting I would put this on my list of Amarillo things to do. Would have loved to see the entire house however this time of year only first floor available.
