A busy flight but great film and TV choice, free drinks and vert accommodating stewards. At 6’ tall, I has enough room. No complaints

Both direct flights were very punctual and the staff was very friendly, I did not have to deal with customer service so I cannot speak for that. The meals were of decent quality and there were many recent options for entertainment. I have nothing negative to say other than the only drawback was that coach seating didn't have much legroom (6ft9).

I had a near awesome flight but as soon as we land in Heathrow, it took an hour and a half to transfer to another terminal. Good thing I have a 2 hour window for connection. So if you are flying British Airways and London is not your final destination, allow a 2 hour window for your connection.

I'm very torn but for our first non-stop flight to Joburg (we normally fly Emirates via Dubai) we were really expecting a bit more.

First issue was that our flight was delayed by just over an hour but that wasn't the end of the world, it happens. The flight crew were all very friendly and kind - can't fault them at all.

We finally get on the plane and into our seats in economy and everything was fine until the person in front of me reclined their seat and that was it. I was pinned in and couldn't get up even if I wanted to. There just isn't anywhere near enough space in economy - I've flown economy with a lot of airlines and this was the worst by far.

Next issue was the food - the dinner wasn't so bad, typical air plane food loaded in far too much salt. The breakfast however was...terrible. I shouldn't have eaten even the little bit I ate.

The last issue was the air circulation in the plane was awful. I was sat by the window and there was absolutely no air flow and there are no individual air vents above the seats on the plane either so I got so hot that, combined with the breakfast, it nearly made me physically sick.

Our flight back to London from Joburg was a little better (got an aisle seat so I could have some air and get up easier although when the person in front reclined it was still a huge mission to get up!). My husband and I purposefully didn't eat any of the food because of how sick I felt when we landed on the first flight instead we brought our own snacks.

It was a very turbulent flight back which is beyond BA's control but again, by the time we landed, despite the more air I had by sitting in the aisle seat, I felt hot and nauseous again and desperately needed to get off that plane before I puked or passed out.

I would also say that the business class seats, although better than economy, still seemed really rammed in - like they're just trying to fit as many people in as they can.

I have travelled many, many times and I love flying and have never once felt sick from flying until I flew with BA. Safe to say, I won't be flying long-haul with BA again. Genuinely disappointed as I had high hopes despite the naysayers...

We used assisted boarding as my husband has had replacement joints, and this was very good - friendly staff and a smooth passage through to the lounge. The crew on the plane were welcoming , and the food was reasonable. Assistance off the plane was adequate and we arrived very early. The return flight included a meal in the lounge before departure and the new arrangement was excellent - a brasserie with staff on hand for any extras and very uncrowded. The plane was very empty (coronavirus as it was again business class) and the crew could not do enough to assist. Breakfast was as much or as little as you wanted and again the crew were there for any requests. I read bad reviews on BA but having travelled with them for nearly 50 years, mostly in economy class, I cannot rate them highly enough. Their safety record, too, is a big factor in my choice of flying with them.
