Carlos Thomas

Carlos Thomas enters his second season as the head men’s basketball coach at Wilbur Wright College. Thomas has coached at every level. His coaching career started on the grass roots level as an AAU coach. He then quickly moved into the head coaching roll in Middle School and found tremendous success at the High School level while living in Charlotte, North Carolina.

As an assistant at United Faith Christian Academy in 2016-18, Coach Thomas was responsible for recruiting, player development, and coordinated all video duties

During this time, Thomas helped play a vital role in helping 12 players in the 2 years at UFCA sign to play basketball at every level from Division I to Division III and Junior College. After leaving United Faith Christian Academy Thomas took the assistant job at Charlotte Christian School as the assistant coach before moving to Chicago, IL.

Thomas’ competed collegiately at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. He later transferred to finish his career at Columbus State University and graduated with a Bachelors in Education. He also holds a Master’s Degree in English Education.
