I was fortunate enough to have worked with Dr. Bob and every day was a great opportunity when he was around. He always had a good story to share, especially about his beloved pets. I was so proud to call him my friend. The world needed more people like Dr. Bob and he will forever be in our hearts. He always encouraged me to continue my work as an artist too.
Blessings,

I echo the sentiments of the FMU professors and colleagues; Bob was not only a wonderful man but a mentor to me as well. Bob and Jean were so welcoming to me when I joined FMU in the Fall of 1995. That laugh of his was contagious and you just couldn't help but feel good while talking with him. A great professor and friend, he will be sorely missed. Condolences to Jean and the rest of the family. God bless you, Dr. Pugh.

Mrs. Pugh, I am sorry to hear about Dr. Bob. I always enjoyed talking with the two of you in the jewelry store. The two of you were a pleasure to wait on. I am certain that you will always treasure the items he picked out for you even more, since they contain memories of your time together. Just know that Dr. Bob is in a better place now, and he is waiting to be reunited with you. Keep holding onto God's unchanging hand, and he will see you through.

Jean, our hearts go out to you and your family on Bob’s passing. He is warmly remembered in the decade since we worked together at FMU. Bob touched so many lives, including this green young professor. What I loved most about Bob was his joyous laugh. It would always make me smile and was a gentle reminder to settle down. Bob was a good colleague, a good professor, and more importantly just a genuine good person. I am sorry to hear he passed and have missed his laugh in our hallways and his company.

Dr. Pugh was one of the nicest people I have had the privilege to work with at Francis Marion University or anywhere else before or since! My office was close to his and his laughter would echo down the hallway! It was a hearty, loud and joyful sound. What a laugh!

Grandpa Bob was just an amazing person. I’m sorry I haven’t seen him in a while and didn’t have a chance to see him before he passed. He holds a special place in my heart for being the only “grandpa” I ever had. I love you Grandpa Bob.
