Hennessey VelociRaptoR 1000 Production Officially Underway

Hennessey Performance has been churning out enhanced versions of all kinds of Blue Oval models for years now, meaning that the debut of the Hennessey VelociRaptoR 1000 – which is based on the supercharged, V8-powered Ford F-150 Raptor R – didn’t exactly surprise anyone. However, some time has passed since that fortified pickup debuted in late 2022, but now, production of the Hennessey VelociRaptoR 1000 is officially underway, according to the Texas-based tuner.

The biggest upgrade present in the Hennessey VelociRaptoR 1000 lies under the hood, of course, where its supercharged 5.2L V8 has received a new, larger 3.8L supercharger, which replaces the stock 2.65L Eaton TVS R2650 unit. From there, Hennessey adds bigger fuel injectors, fuel lines, a high-flow intake, and a beefier supercharger belt before putting the whole thing on the dyno to tune it and extract as much extra power as possible.

The result of those upgrades is a massive 1,043 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque – hefty increases over the stock 2023 model and its factory ratings of 700 horsepower and 640 pound-feet. According to the tuner, this also results in a blazing 0-60 time of just 3.1 seconds, as well as an 11.4-second quarter-mile at 122 mph.

In terms of visual upgrades, the Hennessey VelociRaptoR 1000 gets unique exterior graphics, VelociRaptor bumpers, badging, a front LED light bar, and 20-inch wheels wrapped with 37-inch tires. Underneath, the pickup also receives a three-inch lift kit with a level, along with power folding side steps to aid ingress and egress. Customers have a bevy of options to choose from on top of all that, such a six-piston Brembo brakes and a handful of other items. Production is limited to just 500 units, however.

“The VelociRaptoR 1000 is now the apex predator of pickup trucks,” said Hennessey Performance CEO and founder John Hennessey. “The Raptor has been the ‘Swiss Army Knife’ of trucks ever since it went into production. Our VelociRaptoR 1000 upgrade, with new wheels, tires, and big Brembo brakes takes this amazing, all-purpose vehicle and makes it the 911 Turbo S of trucks. It’s as good as it gets, period.”
