- These sessions were recorded 2 years before the LPs! You can already hear the full experimental concept. Every track a work of art. Brains / Bugs playing..................................................................................................................................
- Sounds incredible. Great pressing and of course great music. Little to no noise coming from this one. Nice and dynamic, loud record. Can't go wrong with Peel Sessions.
- When track 5 was originally broadcast the title was simply 'Makeshift'. The 'Swahili' was added when it was re-recorded for the Deceit album. I was listening to Peel when he broadcast that second session and recorded it onto cassette - which I still possess.
Some of these Made Available albums have the original title, some don't. - Holy shit, this is dead serious, demanding and jet very "groovy"! It makes a lot of music sound like dispensable consumer ignorance. Strongly recommended to advanced Listeners! Thick, great sounding Vinyl.
- Agree with broyles-sookram about the material here being better than their 1st LP proper, the rawness adds another dimension to these tracks, the textures are rougher, easier to feel and appreciate.
I wondered why the title, till the penny dropped. Peel sessions were usually recorded at Maida Vale studios. Thus, Maida Vale-able... - Edited 5 years ago

This reissue is clean sounding without pops or hiss. The presentation is very simple (cardboard sleeve), but this is a Peel Session, so what do you expect? As to the recording itself, the material from the self titled album (Side A) sounds infinitely better in these sessions. There is a raw energy here that isn't as perfectly captured on the studio material. I honestly thought this would never see re-release on vinyl, so I am quite pleased all around with this release. - How's about a listing for the new LITA reissues? Would like to know what other people think!
Cheers.
