How did OMITB Season 3 end?
In Only Murders in the Building‘s Season 3 finale, Donna and Cliff DeMeo were arrested for the murder of Paul Rudd’s Ben Glenroy, the cast and crew gathered at Oliver’s apartment for his second annual Death Rattle afterparty.
There, Mabel received an invitation from her director boyfriend Tobert (played by recurring guest star Jesse Williams) to accompany him to California. Oliver, meanwhile, encouraged his girlfriend Loretta (fellow recurring guest star Meryl Streep) to move out west to be with her formerly estranged son Dickie.
Then there was Charles, who was targeted by a killer. Alas, a bullet meant for TV’s Brazzos took out his longtime stunt double Sazz Pataki (who was played since Season 1 by Jane Lynch).
Suffice it to say, he’ll probably want to vacate the Arconia for a while.
It feels like going to California hints that Streep will be in the next season, as it makes sense as a reason why Oliver would go there. Good! I loved her on the last season and I want to see more of her with Martin Short.
I freaking loved the pairing of Streep and Martin Short. They were awesome together.
Hrmm… the Arconia is almost like a character itself, so I am glad they will only be in LA for some of the season and not all of it. I like the Arconia setting.

Hate when they start mucking around with a successful show. If it’s not broke…The Streep storyline feels too contrived. Isn’t her son going to jail? These star guest characters tend to take away from the main plots.
have you even seen the show ? you don’t seem to know what you’re talking about – you may want to rewatch all of season 3 – especially the ending
I love the Arconia and maybe I can move into one of the vacated apartments 🤞. I live in New York and love seeing places they go to. It’s fun screaming “I was there, I was there”. But I will watch the show wherever it goes cause it’s a great show.
I’d love to Robert Downey Jr guest star- I think the play-off of them all would be so quick and hilarious.. after all California is where they may be
Please leave Streep out of this. Season 3 was so unwatchable. Yet another show that brings in big guest stars without writing anything decent for them.

I hope they find a way to bring Jackie Hoffman into the season. She is so fun as a sourpuss and I like her developing “friendship” with Charles.
Jackie Hoffman in anything is a guarantee of a great time. It’s a long-standing rule among Broadway directors that you just let her do whatever she wants and you’ll get gold.
Could not disagree more. She does the same thing and plays the same character every time. It’s predictable, biting and tiresome.

I’m completely with you. I was never a Molly Shannon fan. Not a fan of Eva Longoria either but will watch anyways since I love the core 3 so much.
I’m betting (or maybe prognosticating, since it’s so early) that Eva L will be the new celeb tenant of the Sting/Amy Schumer apartment.

OMITB is the best thing since OLD Saturday Night Live. Too bad Gilda and John aren’t around to partake!!! What fun they would have had!! OMITB – KEEP surprising us with characters played by actors and actresses that are making us smile and laugh!!!!! Meryl Streep is outstanding!!!!! Love her character. AND love the little splash of broadway musical mixed in!! Talent! talent! talent! Wonder what Jane and Lillian are doing these days??

I’m surprised Streep wants to do another season as she’s quite known to never return to a character that she played before aside from Mamma Mia 2.
Ok, I am excited. I was iffy on them leaving the wonderful Arconia, as it is so much a character itself.. but I’m on board to spend a little time in LA if we get the glorious Richard Kind and Melissa McCarthy (and a slew of others).
…but no mention of Scott Bakula?
Hmmm… Martin Short as a regular, Andrea Martin in Season 3 and Eugene Levy in Season 4. if they’re working their way through the SCTV cast, dare I hope to see Catherine O’Hara in Season 5?
Only if she is integral to the twists and turns of the investigation.
I would rather the writers turn in better scripts than start adding more big names celebs. The writing has suffered on this show since season 3. The trailer scene where Martin blows the piece of paper across the table..was that suppose to be funny? Lazy humor.
I was also very disappointed with season 3, the humor was so over the top at times. And do they really need all these new characters for next season?
