Two years before the release of one of the most influential progressive rock records of all time, a pop-group trio known as ‘Giles, Giles & Fripp’ was formed.
Consisting of vocalist & percussionist Michael Giles, brother and bassist Peter Giles and guitarist Robert Fripp, the trio decided to dabble with pop-music in their first outing “The Cheerful Insanity of Giles, Giles & Fripp” released in 1968.
