The song is about having an imaginary friend that really gets you and you really relate to them but everyone else can’t see them so they think you’re totally crazy.

‘'Simon Says” is the sixth track off Allie X’s second album titled CollXtion II which follows her debut album CollXtion I. The song is written by Allie X and co-written by her collaborator Jungle George.

There are lyrical references to the lyrics from Allie’s song “Good” from her debut album CollXtion I. While she is concerned about her family in “Good” she seems bitter and delusional in “Simon Says”.
