High school student Wendy has an odd relationship with her five friends: They're openly sexual with each other, swapping partners every week. But this is all thrown into turmoil when she meets Sean, a new student in school who has a crush on her. Wendy wants to be with Sean, but doesn't want to disappoint her friends, whom she has known since grade school. When she does decide to leave them, her best friend, Billie, threatens revenge.

eu fui assistir achando que ia ser um filme de baixo orçamento com uma qualidade duvidosa mas eu até que gostei, a ideia do filme funciona, tem uma boa trilha sonora, cenários e figurinos que condiz com a história e personagens cativantes, seria facilmente um episódio de uma série adolescente, a trama não eh lá grande coisa mas até que entretém.
This is a strange and occasionally interesting look at high school. 6 friends since elementary school have made a deal that helps them avoid the heartless world of random hookups and friends-with-benefits by spending all their time together. All is fine until a new kid moves into town and cause cracks in their friendship. Apparently this one was developed a nice following over the years...I will not be joining that following. The acting is fine....but the characters in the movie are simply not nice people. Spending 93 minutes with them was not a whole lot of fun for me.....but I acknowledge I am old....and am probably out of touch with young'uns.
From my 11 year old self’s memory, this is the coolest movie i thought there was at the time. For that, it gets 5 stars.

you just have to wonder where these parents are every week so these six can have an orgy in the living room
it def had a lot of potential but all that gets lost in execution and it just ends up looking lame. although sean does some questionable things he is very hot and i thought i should point that out as a good thing.
the “ur our friend and lover only and you can’t meet anyone new” trope is horrible but i love seeing it ?? and the soundtrack for this movie is 10/10
billie was a true manipulator to anyone who left or tried to leave their friend group
My favourite scene in this movie is at the very end. When all is said and done, Wendy is in the kitchen with her lovably weird brother Nathan, who doesn’t care what’s she’s done or hasn’t done, and they are cooking together. I can’t explain why I love it so much, except that it stands in contrast to all the moments that went before it, in which Wendy is judged and found wanting, by the tightknit group of friends to which she belongs and by her would-be boyfriend, Sean.
This is a film with an unusual premise. A close group of high school friends also sleep together in what is a “safe space” to explore their sexuality. But in reality…
I'll watch pretty much anything with Amber Tamblyn, so I happily popped in the DVD of this film. In truth I think this is a film that rewards seeing it at a specific time, when you are most receptive to it. Had today been that specific time, I probably would have rated it a lot higher. As it is, without that "connection", I have to say it is just a decent film, albeit one with a slightly different perspective. And of course, I enjoyed watching Amber at work.
