The Secret Rulers of the World was first shown on Channel 4 in April 2001. The five-part documentary series accompanied creator Jon Ronson's book 'Them: Adventures with Extremists', which covered similar topics and described many of the same episodes. Both the series and book detail Ronson's encounters following theorists and activists residing outside political, religious, and sociological norms.

This is really a great documentary series. I can’t believe it’s so hard to find, and that even having read Them: Adventures With Extremists more than once, I didn’t realize this existed until a few days ago (lizard people probably suppressed it). The doc is nearly as engaging as the brilliant book of journalism. Ronson is the greatest.

I only watched the Alex Jones/Bohemian Grove part and can’t believe how well Jon Ronson documents everything while adding context that his subjects love to forget.
Is Bohemian Grove weird as shit? Yes
