There’s no need for a string of separate posts. If you're planning to study there the university will provide lots of info and your fellow students will be keen to explore the area, gyms, shops etc.

I really recommend visiting Richmond Park. It's one of the largest parks in the area, it's beautiful, and you can even see herds of deer there!

As mentioned, Kingston is probably closer to three (3) huge royal deer parks (3!) than anywhere else in the UK.

Richmond Park is about 2,500 acres, Hampton Court and Bushy combined are about the same. About 1000 wild deer in total.

Then there are the banks of the River Thames, which, unusually for London, are not wall to wall housing. You can walk or cycle the Thames Trail or visit beautiful houses, in their own grounds - Kew Palace & Gardens, Syon Park, Marble Hill House, Ham House, Hampton Court Palace, Strawberry Hill, plus many more in neighbouring suburbs or counties. If you can find a suburban place with more greenery, I would be happy to hear about it.
