A for lagoon itself, it's nothing special. It can have many people who are trying to come closer to the birds for a better photo and they scare away the birds. For you to enjoy the wild birds, flamingos and may other, it's much better to enter the natural park of Pink lake.

This is a "must do" if you are in Walvis Bay. I understand it can get quite crowded (there's a viewing area with carpark) but I encountered very few people. The flamingoes, of course, are not THAT close so a long lens is helpful. There were hundreds there when I went and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them, including in flight.

Very nice place to go for a walk and see flamingos in their natural habitat. They are many and very close to you. Definitely something worth seeing it if you are in a Walvis Bay... I would recommend to take smtg warm with you as it might be windy... 😉

Well, it's a lagoon area...and it has flamingos. Not much more to say!
There is a car park and you can then walk to be quite close to the birds. Was especially nice to be able to see them in flight.

Flamingos sit and watch you. Very peaceful and scenic. Definitely a requirement to stroll along the boardwalk. It was very clean when I visited in August 2019.

The flamingo lagoon lies on the southern side of Walvis Bay. Anyone visiting the area should spend at least thirty minutes admiring the colorful displays of the two types of flamingo eating, drinking, squabbling and flying. Great for photography.

I stayed in a hotel right in front of the beach where they get together. Really nice to wake up and see the flamingos in such large amounts.

Staying at Flamingo Villas in Walvis Bay you get chance on a daily basis to see the flamingos as they are across the road on the shoreline every day.
The bay is certainly worth a visit. Its a beautiful place.

It is amazing to see so many flamingoes right by the sea shore. The birds are unperturbed by people and cars so you get great viewing. You can see many just from Lagoon Promenade but even more if you drive into and round the lagoon. A delight. For birdwatchers there are other species to see too.
Recommended.

The flamingo lagoon is beautiful for a drive by or a few photos, although you can't come too close or else it will scare them. Worth seeing them.
