How you change your Android voicemail password depends on your carrier. You can contact them directly (more on that below), but in some cases, you can change your password in the Phone app, assuming you know the current password. Here's what to do:

1. Open the Phone app and tap the three dots in the upper-right corner.

2. Tap Settings.

3. Scroll down and tap Voicemail.

4. Tap Change PIN.

5. Enter your current password and tap Continue.

6. Enter a new PIN, and then tap Continue. Enter the code again and tap OK to confirm.

How to Reset Your Voicemail Password on a Samsung Phone

Resetting a Samsung device's voicemail password works a bit differently. Try the steps below, but if they don't work on your specific phone, continue down the page to see the carrier-specific instructions which will definitely work.

1. Open the Phone app and press-and-hold 1 until it starts to call your voicemail.

2. Press 5, or listen to the automated voice to know which number you should use to change your password security.

3. Press 1, or whatever number the automated system says is for changing your password.

4. Enter the new voicemail password followed by #.

5. Listen as the password is repeated back to you. If it's right, confirm by pressing # once more.

What Can I Do If I Forgot My Voicemail Password?

If you forgot the password you created when you first set up your voicemail, then you'll have to reset it through your carrier.

Reset AT&T Voicemail Password

AT&T users can reset their voicemail password through the company's website.

1. In your phone's browser, open your AT&T account overview page and go to My wireless.
   

2. In the My Devices & add-ons section, choose your device.
   

3. Select Manage my device and choose Reset voicemail password.

Reset Verizon Voicemail Password

To reset the voicemail password on a Verizon phone, dial *611. Provide the requested information, then say “Reset voicemail password” when the assistant asks what you're calling about. The automated system will take you through the process.

Reset Tracfone Voicemail Password

Tracfone customers can reset their voicemail PIN via text messaging.

1. Start a new conversation and enter 611611 for the recipient's number.

2. In the message field, type voicemail and tap Send.

3. In a minute or so, you'll get a reply with a link. Don't tap the link. Instead, reply Y to reset your password to the last 4 digits of your phone number.

   To access your voicemail and change the password, press and hold 1 on the dialer.

Reset T-Mobile Voicemail Password

To reset your password to voicemail to the last four digits of your phone number, dial #793#. The next time you check your password, you can change it to whatever you want. To disable the password altogether, dial #796#.
