Major Disappointment

Horrible . When we arrived only one other couple there. It took almost 1 hour to get the meal . Salad over dressed steak over cooked and I swear they boiled the chicken first then left the skin and threw some topping on it. We had gone 2 yrs ago with our kids and grandkids was excellent. Manager offered to give us a desert because of the wait and apologized for the delay. This was prior to us complaining. There were 2 of us evidently 2 deserts instead of 1 would have broken the bank. We could have eaten at Longhorn 3 C-section for what we paid there. Don’t go

Great food

I started researching for a good steakhouse on I drive to have a great steak for my birthday. Your web page and menu looked very good so I chose your restaurant. Steak, great, wine great and priced right, server, great. I see why you say best steak house on I drive. That being said, I did have some issues. When resetting a table, the server or busser carried glasses in his arm up against his chest towards his armpit. NO. People have to put their mouths on them. Carry what you can in your hands without your fingers inside the glasses or put them on a tray. 2nd, I wasn't pleased that my water was already poured into my glass before I was sat or at the table. Now I don't know how long that water has been in that glass or if it was from a prior seating or not. I'd like to see it poured fresh in front of me. 3rd, server's are clearing off tables and walking over to a service tray in the dining room right in front of everyone and scraping the plates off and stacking them up and going back for more plates to do the same. That should all be done in the kitchen. I don't want to see my server cleaning plates in front of me on the dinning room floor. I so wanted to give 5 stars, if it weren't for these other issues that were very unappealing. I will be back because the food and server were great, hopefully the other issues will be fixed.

Had a wonderful steak dinner. My wife and each had Aji Tuna for an appetizer. We each had the 8 oz. filet that was cooked to perfection. The key lime pie was delightful. The food presentation was exceptional. Our server Yasir was very attentive and made our dining experience enjoyable.

Overall, it was just alright.

My husband & I went on a Friday night with another couple. We are local's and went to try the "magical Dining" experience. The restaurant was kind of small, but the atmosphere was nice. The staff was very friendly, and place seemed very clean. I thought it kind of odd that restrooms were out in the hallway. As for the food, I got the ahi tuna as my appetizer & it was wonderful, but I just wish there was more than only 3 slices. Everyone at the table got the Filet Mignon and we all agreed that the texture was fabulous, but it was lacking flavor. It needed seasoning, I should not have to add salt and pepper to my steak. I’m not a fan of clam chowder, but I tried my husbands, and it was delicious. We both added on enhancements to our meals. We got the scallops that were cooked perfect, and they got the Oscar-crab as a topper, but it came out a little delayed and then also was not fresh, so they sent it back. As for the desserts, I got the choc. Torte, that was more like a moose in texture and very rich in flavor – pairs great with the gelato. Overall, we had a great night until we went to leave. We asked our waitress if they comp. the valet charge and she said she would take care of it for us. Once outside my whole experience went from pretty good to awful. The valet guy was trying to be shady and say that we owed money. He asked us for cash, which I thought was odd since the person before us staying at the hotel used a card to pay. We tipped on the way in & we were going to tip again on the way out. He was rude and made me not want to go back to the restaurant. So, I caution you if trying the place be careful of the Valet and make sure they are clear with you.

Marriage Proposal

I hand picked this restaurant to propose to my girlfriend. From the time I landed at the front door, the manager Dylan greeted me, then the assistant manager Jay came to our table to say hello, and finally our fabulous server Tara took great care of us. As an added touch, because of the nature of the restaurant and the founder being an artist, they will draw a caricature of you and your party for free. Hosted a Business Dinner - Did Not Disappoint

Hosted 10 business guests for dinner at Jack's. Had never been there, so I was nervous. It turned out great. Dylan (the host) made our party feel welcome on arrival. Our waitress (can't remember her name --- lovely African American woman --- was knowledgeable and personable, yet not overbearing. We ordered a seafood platter for the app ---- tuna, shrimp, and crab cakes. It was very good. Guests had an array of entrees --- ribeye, filet, tuna, sea bass, and another seafood/pasta dish. Everyone was pleased - but some of the steaks were slightly overcooked. It was nice that the dinners (except the ahi tuna salad) came with a side of veggies and a small potato cake. The wine selection was very nice. The desserts were a hit (creme brulee, key lime pie, and flourless chocolate cake).

Amazing service

Shatara was amazing! She turned a great meal into a memorable experience. We fine dine couple times a month and I would put her as one of the top five waitresses I have ever had. The food was amazing as well.

Excellent Jacks Place

We had an absolutely perfect experience at Jack’s Place. Our server AMA was prompt, polite and exceedingly professional. Our meals were prepared perfectly and far exceeded our expectations. Beautiful restaurant with very nice ambiance." We got our caricatures done. AMA suggestions on entire menu is superior. Amazing experience. I wish Mr Harris will read this review and Thank AMA our server for her excellence. She most be an asset to Jacks place. I was a good friend with Adam Harris and I wish I can tell him that Jacks Place still our best choice for fine dinning for us. I miss you my friend!

the place was packed with large parties and when the manager saw the server tied up, he came over took my drink order and took personal interest in making sure my experience was great. The food was fantastic, highly recommend the crab cakes and sea bass

Service and Food Top Notch

I am at a confernece at the Hyatt and there's a bit of a blackhole here when it comes to restaurants. Jack's Place is defintely hits not only the price point but quality travellers can appreciate. When I say price point, it's not discount dining. But for the quality they deliver, most places charging $20 or more for what Jack's is charging doesn't compete. First off, their front staff are extremely hospital. Right from the get go, I was a special guest and that feeling never left. I did not catch the gentleman's name but I wish I did. My server was an absolute gem. Shatara made me feel very welcome, made no issue that this guy was having an entire bottle of red to himself, engaged in meaningful small talk that makes a customer feel not only valued but welcome. I often find great service can make up for merely decent food but not other way around. If she happens to be helping you out, you have no worries on that front. As for the food, I had the shrimp cocktail which was very nice, the wasabi sauce delivered to the point that I wished I only had that other than the trio of sauces. I got the New York strip loin (blue rare) for the main and it was one of those meals where the first bite makes you appreciate that you are able to enjoy such an elegant experience and every bite after just affirms those initial feelings. Truly a perfect cook on a great cut of steak that wasn't overwhelmed with seasoning and sauces. In regards to dining options in the area, this is the cream of the crop. A must stop.
