商品の説明
Eric Clapton's 1997 Live in Hyde Park" home video documented a triumphant concert of the previous summer that followed his massive "Tears in Heaven" hit a few years earlier. This is classic rockin' and guitar-wailin' blues-is-king Clapton, from new versions of his Derek and the Dominos' "Layla" and "Have You.

Great 'LIVE' Feel

This DVD had the feel of really being there - sound reproduction excellent- far better than I expected. Eric Clapton at his live best - a very worthwhile buy to add to my collection as a relatively 'new' fan of his work

Registrazione ottima senza compressione, cosa non facile al giorno d’oggi, i pezzi sono stupendi.
Assolutamente da non perdere

Show impecável do Eric Clapton no auge. A versão de Old Love desse show tem um dos melhores solos de guitarra da história. O Dvd veio em ótimo estado super protegido. Recomendo para todos.

Summer, 1996 London's Hyde Park
My first trip to the UK came four months later and had I known about this concert, would have changed my itinerary....I can only imagine the magic, electricicity and music that filled the still summer air amongst the crowd of adoring fans......here is truly one of the most incredible outdoor performances EVER, given by the one (if not the greatest) rock/blues guitarists living today-Eric Clapton. Thousands gathered in the midst of one of London's most serene and historic city commons on an evening filled with stars.......Mr Clapton, an ensemble of gifted and diverse musicians, a familiar list of hits, a few Claptonesque renditions of American Southern blues staples delivered in PERFECT almost recording-studio sound and perfection makes this an audio/visual orgasm for the senses!
In an age in which concerts are given to raucous crowds, blaring amplifiers, exploding techno special effects, unpredictable antics of the performers and lyrics too profane to comprehend Mr Clapton transcends the typical; his vocals are soft, bluesy, heartfelt; the words crisp and clear as the stories unfold. As of this recording his voice still reaches pitches and vibrato the years have since taken from him....thank God, the magic that flows from his soul through his fingertips has, and forever will be, Slow Hand's gift to music. His searing riffs and the seemingly uncanny manner his fingers dance and glide down the frets of his Strat/Gibson or whatever stringed guitar he carries like his lover commands the adulation and attention of new generations of musicians and fans of all ages.........
Also praiseworthy is the contributions of Jerry Portnoy, an incredible blues harmonica player whose command of the simple "mouth organ" places him at the top of his game; Steve Gadd, anything but a simple percussionist-his driving, forceful but never overpowering beat adds to the groups excellent delivery; Andy Low, guitarist--subtle rhythyms and dual leads compliment Mr Clapton on several solo performances; Tim Sanders & The Kick Horns--what a crisp accent to all the music; never overpowering and surprisingly compliments even the blues! All in all a gathering of friends on a perfect mid-summer's eve, a treat for all the senses......why not treat yourself to a foot-tapping, air guitar playing, visual and stunning auditory exposition of one of the world's greatest living performers from across the pond? He is the "Hootchie Coochie Man" for all time..................
