Not good for special occasion. We were supposed to be in the restaurant but we were ushered to the pub. It was our 50th. Ann. and the food was awful. Never again!!!

The historical elegance promised by the Kenmore Inn is actually a dump! The website is very misleading. Do not stay here! This is by far the worst hotel or bed-and-breakfast that I have ever stayed at. I stayed here for one night in November 2014. Our tub was so rusty it could not be used. The shower head was very rusty too. The toilet was not clean and just gross. Our sink was so stopped up you could not even brush your teeth because it would over flow. Two male employees were in a big altercation yelling and cursing at each other. The situation was not under control so we left the Inn for several hours. We reserved a king size bed and got two twin size beds pushed together. It was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on a crack and not what we reserved. Our tv was smaller than a computer screen. Why bother! The Inn's pipes were so loud that there was no getting any sleep! It sounded like someone taking a hammer and beating on the pipes all night. Terrible!! There is no R and R at this place. We were up all night and felt like zombies the next morning. We stayed for one night and paid $172.52. I would not come back even if it was free. There was no manager there to talk to. Customer service was nonexistent. I want my money back.
Oh and regarding the restaurant, we chose not to eat dinner there because of the employees fighting. However, Later that night we went to the restaurant for wine and dessert. The wine was ok- middle of the road at best. I ordered a brownie. It tasted like a $1.00 box mix dessert. It had a scoop of cherry ice cream on top that was good. The dinners people ordered sitting near our table did not look like what was presented on the website. People were complaining about their food. If staying in the area, I would recommend staying elsewhere and dining at Kybecca. - Channel W.Fredericksburg, VA4194/7/2018
Four of us met for a quiet dinner and some drinks on a weeknight. The staff were attentive and not intrusive and very knowledgeable about the menu and offered great suggestions. I tried what could have been a very simple cheeseburger but they really knocked it out of the park. The seasoning of the beef the melted cheese and the french fries were out of this world. I'm really picky about fries and these were very very very good. I enjoyed the timing of the service we didn't feel rushed or cramped although there were other people in the restaurant. It wasn't too loud but we didn't feel like we were in a ghost town. The Caesar salad was delicious and the surprising tomato and anchovy paste under the fresh and refreshing hearts of Romaine was surprising, savory, and memorable. Don't sleep on this place. They seem to have a new Direction and is very welcoming and inviting.

Help is nice. We stayed there during daughter's wedding.
It rained and the ceiling of our suite leaked. Unbelievable. We were moved to a small room with a bathroom that was not bigger than a small closet. Our other daughter's room smelled musty. We had brought a number of guests.
They need to upgrade service.

Dear Page,
Thank you very much for your review of your recent stay at our Inn. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us, as we strive to improve with each and every stay. We hope that the wedding was wonderful, despite the weather. Unfortunately, the rains we received this summer were of historic proportions and have created a myriad of problems for area businesses from leaking roofs, to flooding, also loss of crops, etc. We are so sorry that during your stay, we experienced a breach in the flashing during one of the deluges. Thankfully, we have only seen a month like that once in the 17 years of current ownership. It is our pleasure to announce that a new Buckingham slate roof, in keeping with the historic preservation guidelines, is being installed in the fall to prevent a reoccurrence of any leaks and we will be placing a dehumidifier in our rooms that need to be aired out after a rainfall. In taking great care of our historic Inn, our main priority is to offer our guests a very well-maintained and comfortable atmosphere. I hope that you to take another visit to the Kenmore Inn. After driving around Old Towne Fredericksburg for an hour trying to find a place that wasn't packed on a Saturday night, my mom, sister, and I stumbled across this gem. Live music, a historic building, and AMAZING food and service made our dinner one of the best parts of our girls' trip. Would highly recommend this place! Tip: sit outside on the patio. It's quiet and intimate with a fountain, soft lighting, and a great view of the historic brick B and B that's upstairs. This place was absolutely charming!

Our party of six sat outside and it was beautiful. The weather was perfect. The atmosphere outside is great unfortunately there was a spotlight shining in some of our eyes. I have to say the table we ate on felt like patio furniture.. The steak was fabulous and was the meal to order. The chicken and pasta not so much. The chicken was thin, extremely dry, and tasteless. Fair warning our party of six, when the bill arrived, a 20% gratuity was added to the bill.

On my visit to the Kenmore, we ordered the pasta special of the day and the duck.
The pasta was handmade served with crab and asparagus, and it was delicious! The duck had perfectly crispy skin and was cooked exactly medium rare. The wine we ordered (at the server's recommendation) was outstanding and complimented the meal exquisitely. The atmosphere of the pub area is cloistered and feels very exclusive, arrayed with candles and with light music filtering through. The garden is lovely this spring! We would certainly return. - Matt D.Fredericksburg, VA342142/18/2018
2/17/2018-We went to the Kenmore Inn to celebrate our anniversary. I had reservations at 6pm and they knew it was an anniversary date- they had a table set for my wife and I with candles and flowers. The personal service we received from Ana was just phenomenal. The food was amazing- we did a 3 course meal special they had carried over from Valentines day (they had 2 menus available) I had steamed little neck clams that I am drooling thinking about right now. My wife a valentines salad that she just loved. We both had Filet Mignon that were cooked to perfection and you could cut them with a fork!(no steak knife needed) We both went with tiramisu for desert and it was expertly made and silky smooth delicious! Ana suggested a Blackberry Gose that they had on tap and its my new favorite!
Every time I go to the Kenmore Inn I leave thinking "why did I wait so long to come back here?" Every time has been a great experience. The Inn was recently renovated again and they offered to let us tour the house. The atmosphere, service and quality of the food were all 5 stars. I will be back some day....(hopefully sooner than later!) - Gabriel G.Falls Church, VA19616/16/2019
Slightly disappointing, after several previous stays. Limited breakfast menu -- year after year, visit after visit -- gets old. No channel guide to TV, VERY limited electrical outlets (this is 2019, after all), annoying/LOUD music from bar directly under our room until 10 pm, and they replaced very comfortable chair in room with uncomfortable chair. Very pleasant staff but stay didn't meet expectations.

We had dinner here last night with two other couples. The food and service was amazing. We had an amazing crab dip as an appetizer. The shrimp and grits were wonderful (and I am southern so I am a tough critic). One person ate the filet and it was perfectly cooked. The special pasta was another hit. Overall we had a great experience and will be back! Compliments to the chef!!!!
