We stayed here n a 2 bdr suite after a hospital stay for a family member . Staff was very accommodating. Extra towels. Juice. Etc. Facility was spotless and breakfast was excellent. Only slight downside was the fitness center was very very small .

The staff at the Homewood Suites in Scarborough, Maine are wonderful. They take such good care of everyone, whether you are there for one day or months at a time. They are always checking on you to make sure that you don't need anything . The free breakfast and coffee and tea 24 hours a day is great to those like me who are a resident of the property at this time because of a fire in my home. The exercise room and the pool area are great.

We just returned from a week long stay at this hotel and I really couldn't fault it. The location was really handy to everywhere just off the interstate and easy found. I had in my head from previous photos that it was out of the way and it really wasn't. The room was amazing and so clean,better than we had hoped for. We stayed in a one bedroom suite which had a separate kitchen and living area. The bed was super comfortable, the shower warm. The pool and jacuzzi were a welcome sight after days out and about and were never busy. Okay there were no cleaners in every day but you could ask the front desk for anything and they could get you whatever you needed. All in all I would love to stay here again, it was a really nice hotel and the staff were just lovely. Thanks Homewood suites for a great stay .

Stayed at other Homewood Suites before and have always been happy. However, this one was outdated and the breakfast not as good as others we have had. Nice size room but amenities not very comfortable. The room was not ready for us by 4 pm for checkin so after driving for hours, we had to wait a half hour in the lobby. The bedding was not comfortable, not even a proper blanket. There was a stale smell coming from the vents that we decided to clean ourself since there was no housekeeping unless requested. This may be covid related but was not explained to us. When requesting pillows and towels, they were delivered upon request. Also, there was a quick power outage while we were there as well. The self parking was convenient and free and there was a convenient brewery/ restaurant right next door so you can walk back to the room very easily.

We have 3 children from the ages of 7 to 15 and this hotel got our needs perfectly. We had a suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and it was the easiest stay in a hotel in the past 5 years that we have had. There was a basketball hoop, pool, and hot tub to keep everyone happy and having fun! The staff were extremely kind and helpful!

We regularly stay at Homewood Suites because we have come to expect quality and high standards, and the extra cost should ensure the Hilton standards. The staff here were exceptional, especially Stefania, who made us feel right at home. Throughout our 5-day stay, Kim, Sally and Gene ensured that we had everything we needed. The room was spacious and clean, but missing a footstool, normally part of the coffee table. The bed was comfortable, we had adequate towels, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. As usual, Homewood Suites provides a nice private business center, fitness center, and pool, plus they had an outdoor basketball court. The hot breakfast was as expected, and Sue did a great job in keeping it filled and hot. In the past, Homewood Suites provided an USA Today newspaper each day, but not here. It would also have been nice to have flavored coffee creamer, which is a regular at most other hotels. In an attempt to bring back the manager's nightly reception, they had it on Wednesday night, but it was not the variety of the past. The soup ran out after the first half hour (poor planning), and the salad fixings were limited. The cheese and crackers were good, but they CHARGED $3 for the wine or beer, which in the past was offered as part of the reception. What a disappointment! Apparently, we need to start calling ahead before making a reservation to see if they provide newspapers, a better reception, etc. If they are trying to get customers back after the pandemic, they need to have the regular standards that are expected. I can recommend the hotel as a place to stay with a grade of B, but with competition as it is in the industry, you may find others more to your liking.

I used my Hilton Points to book a room for an acquaintance who needed to take her very very ill dog to a nearby vet. Isabelle (front desk) was VERY kind and sympathetic. She even found my friend a room with a bathroom. My friend was so impressed by the "luxury" of the hotel and touched by the kindness of the staff.

Overall this hotel was very good. The hotel was in a convenient location to Portland, Maine, other places we wanted to visit and to the jetport.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with plenty of room for us. The pool and fitness center were very good and clean.
The breakfast was very good with a good variety of breakfast foods to choose from.
I would stay at this hotel again if I plan to visit the Portland, Maine area, I would also recommend this hotel to family and friends if they planned to visit the Portland, Maine area.

We come through Portland once a year, and this was our first time with our whole extended family in tow. The two bedroom suite was perfect for our 5 young adult kids and it was great that they had two full bathrooms. My husband and I had our own room right across the hall. Some of the kids arrived before us, and my flight was delayed. But Sally was very helpful in getting them checked in with me over the phone. The night manager (sorry I forgot her name) was also very nice to talk with. Breakfast was good with a nice selection of freshly cooked food. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Lobby and common areas were bright and welcoming. Plenty of parking.
We do like staying more in the city, near the port, but if not possible, this will be the next choice on our future visits.

We stayed several nights at the Scarborough Homewood Suites by Hilton. Was absolutely stunned and incredulous to be told that bathroom toilet paper was limited.
My friend, who is retired from law enforcement, advised me that toilet paper limits are common in jails, but that he had not heard of toilet paper restrictions in a HILTON affiliated suites and hotel.
I must admit that in my travels internationally and nationally that toilet paper restrictions were unheard of. During this pandemic, we have seen decent hotels that have apparently opted to house prisoners for counties and cities because of the coronavirus.
Since when have HILTON affiliated hotels restricted basic necessities like toilet paper? This has become a conversation piece.
