      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

The non sequitur humor of Aqua Teen Hunger Force will surely appeal to its built-in fanbase, but for the uninitiated, the premise wears thin.

Nathan Rabin AV Club Its absurdist scenarios serve as little more than a ramshackle frame for bizarre non sequiturs, stoned pop-culture riffing, and some of the weirdest gags ever to make it into a studio-released film. Rated: B+ Sep 22, 2007 Full Review Mark Holcomb Time Out Its running time painfully accentuates the premise's thinness. Rated: 3/6 Sep 22, 2007 Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen Hollywood Reporter The brainchild of Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis isn't immune to the problem often faced by supersize cartoons -- namely, what might be effectively clever when doled out in episodic portions tends to get diluted over the course of an expanded format. Sep 22, 2007 Full Review Cory Woodroof 615 Film It’s like Time Warner just wanted something to put in theaters with a semi-recognizable IP, and they turned to Adult Swim and said, “just give us the best of what you’ve got.” Jun 2, 2022 Full Review James Vance Tulsa World The Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie isn't going to be for most people, but those who were already converts will probably find it tasty enough to go back for seconds. Rated: 2/4 Feb 6, 2018 Full Review Rob Humanick Projection Booth The most scathing deconstruction of Hollywood (and the culture at large) this side of Robert Altman's The Player. Danny A Colon Movie is good; if you're sense of humor is broken. That's what my sense of humor is, and i enjoyed this movie overall. It's practically just a longer ATHF episode, no new gimmicks, just the good ol' crazy shenanigans that the Aqua Teens participate in. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/09/23 Full Review barbara B I have to admit I didn't get it. Maybe I am to old to enjoy it, I did like the beginning and the ending though, Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Michael S The retro movie theater intro is fantastic. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/05/23 Full Review Jorge R The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie" is a Masterpiece you've never doubted for Die Hard Fans who enjoyed the show. For non fans they won't understand the story it's tells, but Fans of this will laugh like they never laughed before.👍😂🥤🍟🍔 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/11/22 Full Review Audience Member There's no real reason for an ATHF movie; the plot wasn't coherent enough to require its runtime, the effects weren't any better than on the show. It was just fun to see ATHF in theatres, and the opening scene was probably the funniest part.
