  1. Coming up...

The dust has barely settled on Group D's finale, but it will soon be time to concentrate on Group C.

All four sides could yet progress from that one, with Lionel Messi's Argentina up against Robert Lewandowski's Poland from 19:00 GMT tonight, while Saudi Arabia meet Mexico at the same time.

You'll be able to follow build up to those matches from 18:00 here on the BBC Sport website - before TV coverage resumes on BBC One at 18:30.

It's another that's not to be missed, but you already knew that!

  3. 'Wholesale France changes necessary'

    FT: Tunisia 1-0 France

    Didier Drogba

Former Ivory Coast striker on BBC One

It's still going to be difficult to beat this France team - when they play their starting XI it is a different matter.

They changed almost all the players - Didier Deschamps wanted to give players minutes because the road is still long.

They play again in four days so this was necessary.

  4. Watch - Khazi seals famous Tunisia win

Watch Wahbi Khazri's goal that sealed a famous win for Tunisia against World Cup defending champions France, even if it was not enough to secure a place in the last 16.

  7. 'Huge compliments to Tunisia'

    FT: Tunisia 1-0 France

    Jurgen Klinsmann

Former Germany head coach on BBC One

Tunisia deserve huge compliments - for all three games.

Even their loss against Australia, I was there and they controlled the entire game. Australia had one counter, scored on the break with one chance and got three points.

    Some wonderful performances.

  8. Post update

    FT: Tunisia 1-0 France

France attempted 10 shots in their loss, their lowest total in a single match in the 2022 World Cup.

  9. 'The boys were ready tonight'

    FT: Australia 1-0 Denmark

    BBC Two

Australia head coach Graham Arnold speaking to BBC Two: "I'm so proud of the effort bu the boys. There was a short turnaround but their effort was incredible.

"A lot of belief and hard work. These boys come in with a great mindset. We've been working on this for the last four/four and a half years about the belief, the energy and the focus. I could see in their eyes, they were ready tonight.

"No celebrations! That's why we won after a great win against Tunisia, no celebrations, no emotion, sleep and no social media."

  10. 'So proud, we'll make the most of it tonight'

    FT: Australia 1-0 Denmark

    BBC Two

Australia matchwinner Mathew Leckie speaking to BBC Two: "I'm proud, exhausted, everything. Hard to describe the emotions right now, we always believed as a group we could do it.

"We had our doubters but with our spirit, our belief, our work ethic and how close we are as a group, it shows on the pitch. That last 15-20 minutes, we battled until the end and it didn't matter what they threw at us, we weren't conceding.

"So proud but again we'll make the most of it tonight but then it's all about recovery because we've got another coming up."

  11. Post update

However, Australia boss Graham Arnold says there will be no celebrations for his side after they secured their place in the knockout stages.

Arnold spoke about wanting his side to create a legacy at this World Cup, and he's remaining focused on the bigger picture. Quotes to come.

  12. Post update

    FT: Australia 1-0 Denmark

Earlier I mentioned the scenes in Melbourne's Fed Square.

Despite it being past 4:00am in Australia, the celebrations don't look as though they'll be slowing down any time soon!

Great stuff. You can see that here.

  13. France and Australia reach last 16

    Group D

This is how it finishes in Group D.

What a dramatic final round of games that was!

  14. Post update

    FT: Australia 1-0 Denmark

Down and out. It's all over for Denmark, after Kasper Hjulmand's side took a disappointing one point from their three games.

  15. Post update

    FT: Tunisia 1-0 France

    Martin Keown

Former England defender on BBC One

The emotions the Tunisians have been through - it's been a real seesaw three or four minutes.

It's a great consolation for them, beating a great superpower of football in France.

  16. FULL-TIME

    Tunisia 1-0 France

And now it is all over!

Tunisia fans celebrate. The players aren't quite in as buoyant mood as they are out of the World Cup but they are able to smile at a famous win against a football heavyweight.

    An incredible finale.

  17. 'Australia deserved to go through'

    FT: Australia 1-0 Denmark

    Dion Dublin

Former England striker on BBC Two

Denmark had most of the ball, they possibly have the better players but they just didn't do enough in possession. Australia have shown everything you need to get through to the later stages of the World Cup, energy, commitment, organisation, Duke up front was brilliant.

McGree was great as well. Mooy just managed that midfield alongside Irvine and the two centre halves, Rowles and Suttar have been excellent. When it comes to effort and determination, Australia deserved to go through.

  18. Post update

    FT: Australia 1-0 Denmark

Brilliant, brilliant scenes among the Australia players and fans.

Graham Arnold brings his players together in a huddle before they then head over to enjoy the moment with the supporters holding scarves aloft, waving flags and shaking inflatable kangaroos in the air.

The camera then pans to the Danish players, hands on heads. The joy and pain of the World Cup.

  19. DISALLOWED GOAL

    Tunisia 1-0 France

Referee Matthew Conger disallows Antoine Griezmann's equaliser for France.

    NO GOAL!!!

The Tunisia goalkeeper kisses the ground, the tears that were in the eyes of the Tunisia fans are being wiped away and there's now singing and dancing in the stands.

    What a turnaround!
