I have been attending Puyallup High School for 3 years now and am getting ready to graduate this coming June (2024). in my experience there I have gathered this list of pros and cons.
Pros:
- Great campus with lots of space and buildings to fit the students
-Very competitive sports and other athletic programs that offer many possibilities for athletes
- A mass of classes and electives to choose from, including very strong AP classes and running start programs for more academically inclined students.
- Very diverse student body with roughly half the attending students being minorities.
- (Most) the teachers are very reasonable socially and are very reliable to talk to even in times of distress
-Great spirit at sporting events, assemblies, etc.
- police and security on standby to ensure school security
Cons:
- Really bad smoking, vaping, and drug use coming from students
- horrible bathroom policies due to con 1
- high chances of fights and violence happening on the weekly

My experience with Puyallup Highschool has been interesting, The whole time I've been there the staff has been lazy , they complain about not getting paid enough and how when parents email them it makes them mad. But besides that I have had some teachers who have never mentioned pay and say how much they enjoy teaching.
The principles I never really see. School spirit lacks a lot, kids don't care and everyone is always on there cell phone not paying attention to what's going on so that doesn't help. The food is terrible it's dry, wet and steamed. But overall this year has been good so far and I have good teachers this year.

I only took three in-person classes my Junior year due to Covid-19 and during my junior and senior year I did running start. From the experience I had, I was lucky to have pretty good teachers! I found it easy to get through the class having a foundation built with each of my teachers! The one thing I would change is the communication between teachers, staff, and students. There was more than one occasion where I wouldn't get a response to my email within an appropriate amount of time. This happened often during my senior year which is not convenient at all considering I still had unanswered concerns and questions during the last month of school.
