Stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. This Sheraton wasn’t the standard that I expected. I would say this is more like a 3 stars hotels. The location of the hotel was about 20 -30 mins trams ride from the old town Zurich but the tram stop was right outside the hotel which was very convenient. It’s about 15 mins to the main Zurich HB station. It’s about 10 mins walk from the nearest train station.
Overall the size of the room was quite big and beds were comfy and on the good hard side. The stand up shower design was kind of bad as water was easily splashed to the outside. The drain was slow and we had to take off the cover off to let the water drained faster otherwise it would have overflowed the bathroom floor.
The Route 26 steakhouse was ok but pricey which was expected. A burger was about CHF 30 and tasted average.
I also think the housekeeper should do a more detail work on highly contacted areas especially during covid time. Because of covid I usually wipes down all the surfaces with disinfectant wipes. That’s how I found out the night stands had a cup marks on them. The switches and door handles had prints and marks on them. Then I looked on the wood floor in more details that there were also liquid stain on it.
The front desk wasn’t really helpful when we asked for restaurant recommendations around the areas. I think they should have done their homework around the areas and have at least 3 options that they could recommend to their guests. Google didn’t really help for the restaurants search in Zurich in my opinion.

Impressed with the customer service overall but Markus and the FnB team stole the show with their customer focus and service.

The Club Lounge was at least open 6.30am-11pm and I worked up there for most of the time at the hotel because they had the usual free flow coffee/soft drinks but no beers/wines or food which they kindly gave me a voucher for to compensate each day (which I note they have now removed from their website after my visit!).

The voucher didn't make up for the same amount that I had to spend to get the same number of drinks/food I would usually in the lounge but it was a start at least!

The gym is excellent and 24/7.

The location is superb being next to the tram which got us all over central Zurich and the lake quickly as traffic in Zurich is a night mare by cab/uber.

Our suite was stunning in size and light.

The only downside to this hotel is that they have no cleaners. 5 of the days that we were there they didn't clean our room. When we asked why they said that they couldn't get any cleaners!

This is Sheraton owned by Marriott, the largest hotel chain in the world with more than a dozen properties in Zurich, how can they not get any cleaners?

Also when the cleaners did come the quality of the cleaning varied widely. Plus they often didn't take away rubbish or replace coffee capsules. One day they removed all my glasses which I had bought to use for drinks on our European tour! Even though the glasses were clearly not from the hotel and they were clean!

We eventually got them back but I was stunned that they didn't clean up the bins and left empty cups and yet took my glasses away!

However this should not darken over view overall as we had an excellent time here and the front desk helped with wife relocating her lost luggage for example.

Just need to sort out the cleaning!

The hotel itself is very comfy. Noelia, Lilly & Aline and all the staff helped us through our stay. At the reception, the bar, the room service & the executive lounge, these 3 and all the others were going above and beyond to make sure that we have the most comfortable stay. The location was about 10-15 minutes from old Town, which wasn't bad but the area itself hadnt that many restaurants or places to go nearby which was a little annoying. Overall we were happy with the nice upgrade we got, as Marriott Bonvoy platinum members, the room was on the top floor & we were lucky enough to be there on new year's eve to see so many of the city's firework from the comfort of our warm bed! Highly recommended hotel and we would definitely go back!

I travel to Zurich quite frequently and this was the first time my partner and I have stayed the the Sheraton.

We spent 3 days at the Hotel and weren’t expecting anything special considering it’s a branded hotel and that Zurich isn’t renowned for overtly friendly service. What a refreshing surprise we had! From the moment you check-in the staff are professional, courteous and super friendly!

This is a fantastic modern hotel with very comfortable rooms. You are given all the amenities you would expect from a quality 4 star hotel: modern clean room, very comfortable bed, robs, slippers, daily water and a large modern bathroom with a superb walk in rain shower.

But what makes this hotel special, as I’ve already mentioned, is the amazing people running this hotel. We didn’t encounter one member of staff that wasn’t courteous and friendly. They really went out of their way to make us feel at home.

The breakfast spread is excellent. You can opt for a hot breakfast and have pancakes and eggs made to order. There is also an extensive spread of hot and cold food, juices and hot drinks. It really is one of the best breakfasts I’ve experienced in Zurich, actually in any major city location. Again, the staff were all wonderful and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a great experience.

We also ate at the restaurant in the evenings two days in a row. It’s an excellent steakhouse serving quality steaks and other meat options. They also offer a number of vegetarian dishes. I had the burger one night and Cajun Chicken the next. Both dishes were substantial and delicious. Again, the team running the restaurant couldn’t do enough to make our visit special! I’m sorry if my view on the staff is getting a little repetitive and monotonous!

Finally, my partner wasn’t feeling well one evening and the duty manager sent up a selection of cakes and biscuits, with a kind message to get well. This was something we really appreciated.

Form now on, the Sheraton is our go to hotel in Zurich. It’s in a great location near some good restaurants and bars. The tram stops right outside the hotel and you can be in the centre of Zurich within 10 minutes. If you have a car, the hotel has an underground car park with a daily rate of CHF 25 per day.

The rooms are nice. The people are friendly. However, what I expect at a Sheraton is that the room will be attended each day.

The first day of our stay I noticed that the room attendant smoothed out the sheets. She also replaced the empty shampoo dispenser in the shower, once I requested that this be done.

However, she failed to do anything else.

The following day the bed was not made, the towels were not changed, the garbage was not disposed of, and the dirty glasses and cups remained exactly where we had left them. The next day, the same result. When we returned from our day long tour, I went to the front desk at 8 PM and told them that the room had not been properly cleaned for three days, and had not even been touched for two of those days.
They expressed shock and assured me that they would bring this to the attention of Management and that our room would be immediately cleaned. I told them that I would be away for dinner for an hour and trusted that it would be cleaned before my return. I returned at 10 PM. Nothing had been done at all.

There was no knock on the door to clean the room through the entire night.

When I checked out the next morning I demanded a partial refund. They refused, claiming that the first two nights had been booked through Viking Cruise Lines, and the third night had been booked through Expedia.
These were in my mind pretty poor excuses.

All they would do was to refund my ( ridiculously expensive for a coffee and half a bowl of cereal) one day breakfast charge of 50 Swiss Francs ( $75 CDN Dollars!) for my wife and I.

I am sure that this Hotel has some excuse for providing such poor service ( by the way, the couple who we were travelling with experienced the identical poor service) but I am not able to recommend this hotel at all.

By the way, the phone in my room did not work at all ( I could not even contact the front desk) and the thermostat did not work either.

Located a bit far from down town, may not serve tourists that much but tram line is close and there is always an electric scooter around (in that case you need 15'-20' to reach Banhofstrasse 4km).
Well maintained and spacious room and bathroom- we booked an executive one. I suggest you book the breakfast in advance as the price is much lower and the buffet is rich. The only problem with the breakfast is that there was not enough space for everyone in the restaurant and a huge queue was created, forcing us to wait for 20' to get a table and also the refill of the buffet was not sufficient.
Service is really good and staff friendly. Cleaning is not that sufficient maybe because they try to be very quick- they didin't change our sheets for 4 nights. In case you have to use the garage, then you have to pay a lot as well as if you visit the bar restaurant in the lobby... But it's a good option as you take 5* for less in Zurich

We have stayed at this hotel many times before and still love it for our visits to Zurich. This summer we spent there 7 nights in June and 5 in July. It is located in the trendy part of Zurich West with a Tram (streetcar) station right outside. Therefore one reaches the city center within 15 minutes. The hotel has a very modern feel to it, rooms are spacious and I always get recognised as a Bonvoy Platinum member. Besides the spacious rooms the bathrooms are also sleek and modern as well as the TV and the WIFI work well. Breakfast in the main restaurant is expansive and has something for all tastes. The executive lounge has reopened but does not offer any food yet. My only negative comment is that parking is rather expensive at the hotel but I understand that those spots do not belong to the property. We will for sure be back during our next visit to Zurich.

Stayed here for 6 nights and over New Years. A great hotel. The service was good, staff were very pleasant. There is a tram station right outside which gets you to central Zurich in 10mins max. Zurich itself is very expensive so be prepared, avoid taxis! Public transport is good, and to travel out of Zurich then train is best- all very easy. We went to Titlis Mountain (breathtaking) on an excursion via the hotel, pricey but worth it. Also did a train trip to Rhine Falls, about 1.30hrs away but was a also worth it. If I returned, I would stay here again. But I think Gstaad is my next stop!

I would recommend anyone that has an extended stay in Zurich to stay in this hotel. First the staff is very friendly & so helpful! Even one of the newer staffs Sarah D. was so kind to make a special note for me as she saw my frustration with my delayed flight ( thank you!!!).

The gym is one of the nicest hotel gyms I have seen. The executive lounge has many great options & a great view.

There is also a tram RIGHT in front of the hotel that brings you directly to main station & also Hardbruke.

Great hotel!

Shower gel was empty and remained empty the following day although I had raised a complaint at front desk after this happened in the first morning. Incredibly annoying to get up like this twice and use shampoo instead of shower gel. This is certainly not 4-star like!
