Concerts and gigs in May

May 23: Kadim Al Sahir

One of the biggest stars of the Arab world, Kadim Al Sahir is coming back to Dubai for a live show at Coca-Cola Arena. The Iraqi performer will perform some classic ballads with the backing of a big band for a night of sweet melodies and hits like Hafiyat Al Kadamayn.

May 24: Tom Grennan

British chart-topping singer-songwriter Tom Grennan is bringing his live show to The Agenda in Dubai Media City on Friday May 24. His debut album Lighting Matches went multi-platinum in 2018 and was one of the best-selling debut albums of the year as it reached the top five of the UK Albums chart. Tickets for the show are on sale now for Dhs185 from Platinumlist, Ticketsfy and Virgin Megastore.

May 24: James Blunt

James Blunt is coming to Dubai

English singer-songwriter James Blunt is bringing his latest tour to the Coca-Cola Arena. Perhaps best known for his breakthrough single You’re Beautiful, the popstar has gone from strength-to-strength in the past two decades with the performer delving into pop, folk, and rock. Tickets for his show start from Dhs150 and are on sale now.

May 31 and June 1: Hans Zimmer

Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer is bringing his live show back to Dubai. The man behind the soundtracks to Dune, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Lion King is set to perform at the Coca-Cola Arena. Tickets go on sale on Friday February 23 for the World of Hans Zimmer tour which comes hot on the heels of Dune: Part Two’s release.

June 7 – June 8: WATERBOMB Festival

One of the biggest music festivals in South Korea is coming to Dubai this summer. Some of the most famous names in EDM, K-pop and more will take to the stage at Dubai Festival City on Friday June 7 and Saturday June 8. The unique festival is perfect for the hot summer months as it combines partying with a huge competitive water fight. It has taken South Korea by storm and is going on a world tour with Dubai being its first stop in the Middle East. Find out about the line-up here and have every possible question answered here.

June 15: Jason Derulo

American singer-songwriter Jason Derulo is set to perform at the Coca-Cola Arena this year. His Dubai show will be the final date on his global tour this year. The star has sold more than 200 million records globally and has been a constant on playlists since bursting onto the scene in 2009. Tickets start from Dhs199 for the show.

June 22: French Montana

French Montana, with his electrifying energy and chart-topping hits like “Unforgettable”, “Pop That”, and “No Shopping”, will set the stage ablaze. Joining him in this lineup are international sensations Mustafa Ceceli, the heartthrob of Turkey’s music scene, and December Avenue, the beloved Filipino pop/alternative stars, alongside the sensational Amanda Maalouf.

September 13: Apocalyptica

World-renowned Finnish cello rockers Apocalyptica will be in Dubai to pay tribute to one of the biggest bands of all time, Metallica. On Friday September 13, The Agenda in Dubai Media City will be the second stop on Apocalyptica’s extensive tour, appearing in Dubai for the first time. Tickets start from Dhs299 for the event.

October 4: Macklemore

Grammy-winning superstar Macklemore will be taking to the stage at Coca-Cola Arena. The American “Thrift Shop” rapper is set to bring a dynamic blend of hip-hop and pop to Dubai with a show like no other.

October 26: KT Tunstall

Scottish rocker KT Tunstall is performing at The Tent at Bla Bla on Saturday October 26. The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter will perform hits such as Black Horse and the Cherry Tree and Suddenly I See. She blends introspective folk with energetic rock and has toured globally with a very impressive back catalogue. Tickets on sale from midday on Thursday April 25.

November 10: Lea Salonga

Disney legend Lea Salonga is bringing her live stage show to Dubai later this year with a night of show tunes and movie soundtrack classics. The show on Sunday November 10 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai will see her perform some of the all-time great musical numbers from the likes of Les Misérables and Cats. If you’ve ever attempted to sing Jasmine’s part in A Whole New World then those high notes you’re trying to reach are originally the work of the Filipino singer.

November 22: B*Witched

B*Witched will take to the stage at The Irish Village venue near Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Garhoud on Friday November 22. Irish girl group B*Witched shot to fame with their debut earworm C’est la Vie in 1998 (we’re sorry in advance if you can’t get it out of your head for the rest of the day). It will be their first show in Dubai since their Jump Jump Down tour at the turn of the millennium. A co-headliner will be announced soon.

December 14: Eternal

British 90s R&B and soul group Eternal will perform at The Irish Village venue near Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Garhoud on Saturday December 14. They are perhaps best known for their chart-topping hit I Wanna Be the Only One back in 1997. The group, which consists of two sisters Easther and Vernie Bennett alongside Kéllé Bryan, achieved 15 UK top 20 hits during their initial run between 1993 and 1999. A co-headliner will be announced at a later date.

January 2025

January 27: Green Day

Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Green Day will be performing for the first time ever in the Middle East when they take to the stage at Dubai’s Expo City. With a decades-long history as one of the most iconic bands in punk rock, Green Day will be playing a selection of their biggest hits including American IdiotBoulevard of Broken Dreams, and Wake Me Up When September Ends off their eight-time platinum-certified album American Idiot, along with cuts from their ten-time platinum diamond-certified album Dookie and their most recently released 14 studio album Saviors.

And they will be supported by another famous American band The Offspring at one of the biggest gigs in the city.

Fans can now register for the pre-sale via greendaydxb.com. Pre-sale tickets will be available for 24 hours from 10am on Thursday May 9. General on-sale will then start at 10am on Friday May 10.

January 31: CAS

One of the world’s biggest indie rock bands is coming to Dubai. Specialising in a blend of dream pop, shoegaze and indie rock, CAS will play at Coca-Cola Arena on Friday January 31 2025. Tickets will start from Dhs195 for the Coca-Cola Arena show. With more than one billion streams on Spotify for their biggest hit Apocalypse, the band continues to grow its already huge audience.

TBC: Zara Larsson

Swedish popstar Zara Larsson will bring her live show to the Global Village on Thursday April 18. The singer has topped charts globally with solo bangers such as Lush Life and Ain’t My Fault as well as collabs with the likes of David Guetta and Clean Bandit. And the best bit? You only need to pay the entry fee of Dhs22.5 to get into Global Village to see the show.

TBC: Let It Rain Festival

A celebration of both the Korean and local hip-hop scene is coming to the Let It Rain Vol.1 K-DXB Hip Hop festival. K-hip-hop artists BewhY, Skyminhyuk, Mac Kidd, Queen WA$ABII and DJ Wheel Bug will all be on the line-up at the Media City event. Hip-hop artists from Dubai will also be bringing the heat, featuring Tayeb Santo and Maxizee, ensuring a dynamic and diverse range of performances.

Abu Dhabi

November: Wireless Festival

The hip-hop, urban, rap, R&B, grime and dance festival is coming to the Middle East for the second year in a row. We don’t know the line-up as yet, but we do know the fest, which is an annual event in the UK, will be held at Etihad Park on Yas Island on March 2. Stay tuned for details.
