This is the most haunted place in America and I can tell why. The self guided tour tells you everything you need to know as to why. Al Capone was here. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Honestly to think of the mental torture from solitary confinement for over two years is horrifying. 5 out of five stars.

Our bus stopped here while in the area. We already had our ticket which was great because when we got there that morning, they were already sold out. Did the quick 20 minute tour and looked around in the area. Great part of American history.

Old train station loaded with many different types of foods, from ice cream to Georgian food (the country, not the state).

My sister and I went on one of their Friday night "pay what you wish" nights. We were blown away! Of course the art was stunning, that probably goes without saying. There were also live performances going on. What really did it for us though was how the art was curated. Art is not just hung on the walls, whole rooms are decorated with relevant pieces to give an overall feel to each room and really transport a person into a whole headspace. If you're in Philadelphia, you'll want to make time for this one, and it's hard to argue when you can pay what you want on a Friday night!

Really amazing collection. If you can go to one of the intro talks that explain the mind of Albert Barnes and his unusual approach to art display. It seems chaotic and confusing at first, but he had his methods. You will never see more Renoirs at once. And if you have time, the restaurant is EXCELLENT. We spent most of the day there and really left because of fatigue more so than actually being done. There is a good app for those people that are frustrated by lack of signage.

Obviously a must see when in Philly. Free entry, although you can even see the bell from outside through a window. Security staff was not too friendly so that made it a bit uncomfortable.

The National Park Rangers at Independence Hall were wonderful in every way! We went on May 10, 2024, and due to the rain were able to get in to Independence Hall easily. We are so grateful for the kindness of all of the Rangers we met there. They really know a tremendous amount of history, and we had a great time visiting with a fourth grade class (Children are our hope for the future) and we learned a lot, as well!

A quick photo stop for us to see the statue and the steps. Walked up the top of the steps for an amazing city view! Definately worth the stop if in the area.

As far as museums of the American Revolution, the one in Yorktown was by far a much better museum. You could spend all day there going through all the displays. But this one was nice because it had the real tent that Washington used during the war.

The movie and information about how they got the tent was interesting. They won't let you take photos.

This was a great place to get any information you needed about Philadelphia and it had some great maps. The bathrooms were nice and the gift shop was good.

Took my 14 year old daughter. We had fun but I'd say this museum is best for kids up to 13 years old. The hourly tesla coil and machine/engineering interactive exhibit were hightlights.
