Jokester Mashabela Galane brings the funny to Carnival City

If you are all about straight-up, no feelings spared, raw comedy from the mouth of a man who tells it as it is, Mashabela Galane is your man. Performing at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena on 28 July, Mashabela is ready to rock the worlds of couples and singletons alike.

Hailing from Polokwane in Limpopo, this laugh-a-minute funny man says that he is generally a bit of an introvert. It was at school that he realized that, when making fun of his teachers and fellow-pupils, people found him hilarious. So, he decided to pursue comedy on stage with a microphone.

MC’ing Rock the Mother Tongue which sold out at Carnival City last year, was one of this dynamic jokester’s career highlights.  With a passion for interacting with his audience and making people laugh, Mashabela says that comedy is the perfect means to address serious issues that others don’t want to touch on, subtly addressing them through laughter.

“We always welcome Mashabela Galane to Carnival City as he sheds some light and spreads some laughter,” says Michelle Smith, Marketing Manager of Carnival City.

On 28 July, Mashabela returns in the first one-man show he has done in almost three years, to unpack the difficulties couples go through in marriage. This will be an hour packed with all things that couples and even single people can identify with, bringing the lighter side to challenges, day-to-day life and all things funny in a marriage.

This show is not for the faint hearted and no Under 18’s are allowed.  Tickets cost from R200 per person and are available from Computicket. The show starts at 20h00.
