PyData Seattle focuses on helping data science enthusiasts become participants and leaders across various domains, a place to discuss how best to apply languages and tools to the challenges of data science, data management, processing, analytics, and visualization. We aim to be an accessible, community-driven meetup, with novice to advanced level presentations. PyData Seattle tutorials and talks bring attendees the latest project features along with cutting-edge use cases.

If you have a presentation of between 10 minutes up to 40 minutes that you would like to share with our meetup group, please submit a short proposal. You can propose a talk, workshop or lightning talk for our monthly meetups and TalkNights hosted in Seattle and Bellevue.

PyData is an educational program of NumFOCUS, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the United States. PyData provides a forum for the international community of users and developers of data analysis tools to share ideas and learn from each other. The global PyData network promotes discussion of best practices, new approaches, and emerging technologies for data management, processing, analytics, and visualization. PyData communities approach data science using many languages, including (but not limited to) Python, Julia, and R.
