2024 Election Events Calendar

States holding contests: Maine, Nevada, North Dakota and South Carolina.

States holding contests: Georgia (runoff), Oklahoma and Virginia. The Georgia runoff will be held if no candidate in a race receives a majority of the vote in the May primary.

States holding elections: Colorado, Colorado’s 4th Congressional District special general election, New York, South Carolina (runoff) and Utah. The South Carolina runoff will be held if no candidate in a race receives a majority of the vote in the June 11 primary.

States holding elections: Arizona and South Dakota (runoff). The South Dakota runoff will be held if no candidate for US House receives more than 35% of the vote in the June primary.

States holding elections include: Kansas, Michigan, Missouri and Washington.

Louisiana doesn’t have partisan primaries. Instead, all candidates run on the same November 5 ballot. A candidate who receives more than 50% of the vote wins the election. If no one does, the top two candidates will advance to this runoff.
