Reviews
- obviously there is not to much out there from the high numbers days of 1964 before they changed there name to the who, this disc displays some of the best recordings both live and studio from the high numbers in october 1964, great r&b and very raw sounding tracks on all songs, these are all covers of coarse recorded in october 64 when this batch was recorded was the high numbers the im the face / zoot suit ep wich for reasons i cant explain is not on here in live or studio jamming form neither is the A side im the face, you get an hour and 10 minutes of raw garage sounding blues covers and THIS WAS THE FOUNDATION OF THE WHO...... this is a really nice silver factory pressed cd, the sound is good sometimes the tape cuts off during a number but comes right back on, cant complain much at all about recordings that are now 53 years old, this is great stuff for who die hards, this was released by yellow dog records from japan back in 2005, roger sure loved his hermonica back in 64
