Hotel's Favorite
Stayed her for one night. The staff were very kind and helpful. Rooms were clean. Saw a little wear on the box spring of one of the beds and near the elevators on the first floor. Still uses comforters which I haven’t seen in a hotel in a long time. When you walk in you get the impression there is no closet. The “closet” is behind the big drapes. Not windows. Good use of space in my opinion.
The breakfast “omelet” was weird but everything else was good. The breakfast was clean and well-attended.

The Hampton Inn in Commack, NY was jammed with weekend beach-goers. And a wedding party was staying there as well. A room rate of $250+ is not what one expects from Hampton Inn.
The room had no closet, only hooks behind a curtain. Breakfast - advertised as hot - was ice cold and really mediocre. OK, pandemic restrictions limit breakfast possibilities, but Hilton should do better. The bathroom was really sparse, with few amenities.
One thing I will say for Hampton Inn, everything was super clean and they seemed to be trying to observe pandemic restrictions.

i arrived late without a reservation and front desk assoc. made me feel welcome as she made my reservation. We had a warm breakfast every day that consisted of fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, muffins, a couple different juices, coffee, oatmeal and a very clean environment. i would love to stay at this property again. I highly, highly recommend this location.

Booked a room a month in advance(April 18). Arrived a little after check-in time(May 21), only to find my room was not ready. No excuse as to why, and not offered a different room. After questioning further about a room, a manager accused me of going directly to the room and bothering the cleaning staff. That would have been impossible, since I did not know what room I was being assigned. I tried to do the early check in on my phone, but the message I received was that my phone was not compatible with the newest update on Hilton. I contacted Hilton customer service via email when I returned home. They responded on May 28 and assured me that they would forward my email to the Commack location, and that I would hear from them within 3 days. On June 14 I contacted Guest assistance again to let them know Commack had not contacted me. They responded quickly and reimbursed me half my points that I was charged for that stay and said they would contact the hotel again. On July 10 I sent yet another email to guest assistance, thanking them for their help, and to inform them that I was still not contacted by the Commack Hampton Inn. I guess they never heard of their own policy about satisfaction. To be fair the hotel is very nice. The management/owners are not. This is the first time in the many years I have been staying at Hampton that this has happened. I will continue to use Hampton Inns, but definitely not this one. Just wanted to give future customers a heads up.

Hotel is under construction. If you have allergies and/or asthma I do not recommend staying here. We called for reservations over the phone and were not told there would be construction literally outside our hotel room. Construction was very loud when we were trying to rest. We were in town for a funeral. Flooring was pulled up and we ruined multiple pairs of shoes.

Well, I’ll start with how our visit began, which is probably the worst way a hotel stay can start….we checked in and headed up to our room, opened the door and someone else was already staying in the same room. Awkward. Headed back down to the front desk. The attendant was clearly not having a good day. He gave us another room which was fine. It was small but adequate and mostly clean (found a couple hairs that weren’t ours). The room has a small table and desk, a mini fridge and microwave. The only other issue we had with the room was the lighting. There is only one light for the bathroom and it’s super bright which is fine except when you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. It’s a shock to the system and then when you turn it off to go back to bed, there is no ambient lighting in the room so it’s pitch black and hard to find your way. Also the water pressure is pretty weak and the toiletries are enough for just a day. On a positive note, hot breakfast is included in the room rate (we didn’t eat there) and there’s a great diner within walking distance (essentially the same packing lot). Was fine for the night but we won’t be returning.

My stay was for a family gathering. When I first arrived they tried to authorize my card for way more then my original rate. They said it was a glitch in the system. I only had the amount allotted for the stay on my card or I probably would’ve never caught it.
While it was nice the elevator was awful. The doors sometimes would take forever to open and others would open normally. This made you have the feeling that they just mite not open.
No understanding that the breakfast still hasn’t opened due to Covid the few things they offered was so underwhelming. Literally two kinds of fruit and one kind of muffin. Come on now there are other things that come wrapped they should offer. Coffee was offered but not juice. Also if you wanted juice you would need to pay $2.00 for 4oz that’s extremely expensive considering if the breakfast was open it would be included.
In my opinion the few things they do offer for guest to eat were way over priced.
They should really consider something else to offer guest who mite not have personal transportation

Good luck finding a laundromat.
Might be okay for the vacationer with a few items but not good for extended stays.
I work 12 hour shifts. Don’t have time to go to a laundromat. Require a hotel which has a laundry self service so I can finish my 2 hours of paper work while laundry is in the wash while cooking a microwaveable dinner.
Unfortunately it’s a good location with large parking lot.

Anticipating being out East in Long Island, NY for business, we knew we needed a quiet, clean, safe facility with access to parking & major highways. This hotel met that criteria. The helpful, friendly staff & free breakfast was an added bonus! #RelaxingStay #HighlyRecommended

I chose to fly into Islip airport and take the Long Island Railroad into the city each day instead of tackling NYC airports, hotels, Ubers, etc. This was such a convenient stay! The hotel has a free shuttle that will take you to/from Islip Airport and the Deer Park LIRR.
The room was spacious and clean. The free breakfast had good hot options, and was a little more ambitious than I've seen at other Hampton Inns since the pandemic started.
Plus, if you're from NY and a little homesick, there's a legit diner, a great Italian restaurant and a 7-11 right next door.
I saved hundreds of dollars by staying here and did everything I wanted to.
